I should have looked at the google reviews before purchasing from Supersoil.Ok so my experience with this place has been a wild ride, so buckle up!I wanted to order Garden soil, mushroom manure & mulch from the website, but the shopping cart would not let me have 3 different kinds of things in it at once. So I got the estimate from the website and called in to a salesperson.She gave me a quote for my order that was $100 more than I was expecting, so I asked if the taxes and delivery were bringing it to that price? She said yes. So I shrugged and agreed to the order.The next monday they delivered & didn't even attempt to separate the piles, the soil and mulch was mixed together quite badly (1st photo).The soil quality was not what was shown on their website, it is clumped together very heavily in organic chunks. Oddments I found in it while shoveling: A gigantic metal nail, bits of rope, glass, plastic scraps. The soil is not high quality or rich looking & it dries out so hard it needs to be broken up just to plant anything (2nd & 3rd photo for proof).I have no complaints about the mulch or manure, the quality seemed in line with what was advertised.I checked the invoice from the delivery and it was $80 more than the quote I was given! Getting in contact with them I was told that the salesperson had made a mistake & had not quoted the amount with taxes. I was to be given a partial refund for their mistake. Sure fine. Waited a month & no refund so I contacted them AGAIN & they apologized saying it hadn't been sent. They refunded me the full $80 conciliatorily. This is the only reason they get an additional star, for the manager's attempt to correct the many issues.Do not recommend for vegetable garden planting... the quality is good enough for filling in holes in the landscape, that's about it!

Update on my previous review. I received a call from Emmanuel (manager). He was apologetic and very helpful. We are working to resolve the issue. I will update my review again once resolved. Previous review Ordered the lawn and turf soil as recommended by them for my new lawn. I couldn't be more disappointed." It appears there was a technical problem with the machinery."

My family purchased 206 cubic yards of their alleged lawn soil' during the summer of 2020. We were assured by the salesperson that this lawn soil was the perfect fit to top dress our front and back yard. However after applying the soil we realized it was filled with pebbles over an inch in diameter and also contained glass shards and other debris which looked like it came straight from a construction site. Im not sure how this could have been classified as lawn soil in the first place.After calling in the complain

May 2023My husband went to get a load of top soil on a flat deck. They assured him that it was dry, as we had to hand shovel it off the truck. The moment the loader dropped it onto his deck with a huge thud he knew it was soaking wet. When my husband complained the response was “it’s been raining lately” not to mention they charged him $40 a yard times 6 which came to $240 and we could have gotten it delivered for just over $300. We were totally ripped off. Be aware. These are not the original owners and they are unethical business people.

Terrible experience as a drive up consumer. While the gentleman coordinating traffic was well intentioned, there was no signage and the whole place was overrun with double axel dump trucks making it very difficult to get in/out in an easy manner.Now for the quality of the product - their lawn top dressing was over priced at $45/yard so I expected a better product. Our load was full of stones and stick debris (see attached). Do yourself a favour and go to Cloverdale soil on 80 Avenue instead.

My experience with the so called ‘ garden soil ‘ has been beyond horrible. I have a small flower farm and needed soil for additional flower beds that were being put in. The soil delivered was very poor quality - very heavy and not suitable for my flower beds. Also the 40 yards ordered were short, as we only required 32 yards to fill the 5 new flower beds and we ran out of soil and had to order additional soil from another vendor. I could not plant my Dahlia flower tubers in the Super Soil beds as it was so heavy with much clay and rocks. I could barely move the soil with a spade. Those beds if soil erupted in an enormous amount of weeds in a very short time. I have gotten nowhere with my complaints, calls and emails. I was assured they would come to see the soil but no one has ever bothered to show up. Do not buy from Super Soil ! You will be very disappointed. Maple Ridge BC

The management really cares about the customer complaints. Good communication with attitude towards customer satisfaction. The management made me change my mind, upped to 5 stars

We had such a great experience with SuperSoil! They were kind, and accommodating. George, who delivered the soil was super friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend them!

Little slow on the delivery, but thay being said, the top soil is excellent.

As a local Cloverdale resident, Super Soil has been my go-to over the past 10+ years for soil, sand, mulch, and wood chips. Prices are reasonable and service is fairly reliable. I have perhaps only experienced a one-time less than stellar experience and Super Soil staff were receptive and open to feedback. This speaks volumes when a company has growth mindset and is willing to hear to their customers in order to learn, change, and grow. No one gets it 100% right, yet we can strive to make it better.I will continue to make my annual trips to Super Soil as my primary source for these materials.
