Superb customer service. I went in with a vague idea of what I was looking for. The sales associate was adept at assessing my style, colour preferences, body shape and made suggestions that I may have otherwise overlooked. So happy with my purchases. The pieces are well constructed, made in Canada and feature the best artists and craftspeople. Not cheap but you will love these pieces for many years to come.

Love the store it’s beautiful and your clothing pieces are adorable and so full of colour! However a comment was made towards me today while I was in and it was offensive to me and I understand you guys “support bigger” women however I am a size 10 and it is unnecessary for an employee to say to me the second I look At clothing that “our LARGER sizes are over there!”(implying I’m bigger) because I could’ve been buying for someone else, not myself! I could’ve just lost 10 pounds and wanted to feel good. Did not want to feel labelled the second I approach an item. I don’t want to get anyone fired, but just be mindful about what is being said towards customers. Overall though I love the layout and it’s a cute store.

White Elephant is actually one of the reasons I moved to Hamilton. Knowing that a shop that carries such smart, stylish, and inspiring handmade goods in my potential new home gave me the confidence to take the leap and move to what was then a just developing downtown. Since moving here it has been my go-to spot for gifts (pretty much guaranteed you'll find something unique and styling) and when the budget allows, Canadian-made garments for myself. I love the space, the people who run it, and what it has done for James Street North and Hamilton. Thank you guys!

I think White Elephant has beautiful items and I have bought a couple items there over the past couple of months. I was sad to find out after I purchased a very handsome bow tie that they only carry one size, I wish this was something stated at the time of purchase And that it was store credit only for returns. Looks like I will have to keep my eyes peeled for something else cute in the store.

Such a beautiful boutique with the city's hottest jewellery and accessory trends. The gift spot for all my girlfriends. Staff keep mostly to themselves at this location, but they gift wrap beautifully.

Lovely store with really friendly staff. I bought a lovely gold plated necklace but after wearing the necklace for less than a week the plating rubbed off and the silver metal underneath was exposed.The staff did give me an exchange but refused to refund the purchase. I understand the companies 'no refund policy' but this should not include cases such as this. It was explained to me that it was my 'body chemistry' that caused this to happen. For it to have lost its gold platting in a week means it must have been very thin platting, I won't be buying jewellery from here again.

This is by far the best little clothing shop in the city. The clothing is made by Canadian designers and are truly original and high quality. This is the place where I realized I'd rather have one or two really nice dresses than 10 okay dresses. Holly and Jane are amazing shop owners.

+++ everything I tried on I loved and I found a really great gift for a client. On point for comfortable yet hip fashion with attentive but not intrusive staff. Had a lovely visit. I am taking my daughter there tomorrow.

Run and staffed by wonderful ladies, White Elephant is my go-to shop for beautiful and thoughtful gifts for friends and relatives - the only downfall (if you can call it that) is that I usually wind up impulsively buying things for myself too! SO many wonderful temptations. Their selection of Canadian made clothing is amazing too, perfect for both everyday and special occasions. We're lucky to have such a great independent shop in Hamilton. Yay White Elephant!

I absolutely love this boutique and how they support Canadian designers and other indie brands. The clothes they have are beautiful, classic and timeless! I definitely found my favourite pieces here. My only complaint was the poor customer service I received from my most recent encounter. She had tattoos, glasses, and long hair - maybe she was just having an off day, but I didn't appreciate her on taking it out on me. It almost makes me hesitant to shop here again.
