I lost the remote for my fireplace and thought I had done a thorough search. No luck so I resigned myself to buying another one for about $250.00. No sooner had I placed the order than my wife found the original remote. When I called the store, Mike told me that he had placed the order and that it had already been shipped by courier. Sorry

Wow - these guys are fantastic. Nick did a great install and also helped me debug a creosote issue in an extremely timely manner. I highly recommend these guys for woodstove install, chimney sweep, and steel pipe install.

It happens to me only occasionally that my interaction with a service company is as seamless as my experience with Fire Away, Bomanville (now with another store in Cobourg). It began as a simple inquiry that moved forward from estimate to installation without even the slightest hiccup, let alone pre-conditions or demands. Nick, the owner, hired a really fine gas sub contractor (True North, Courtice) and they worked so well together I thought they were his employees. Subsequent calls to Nick to adjust the unit were responded to promptly and personally and continue as it is a whole house rebuild renovation with work still going on a year later. I recommend this company to anyone who is buying in this category.
