Refused service in matters of family law- Said they are too busy- No one wants a too busy lawyer

Total lack of professionalism and extremely shoddy legal service. They did a conflict of interest search prior to me hiring them and assured me everything was fine, that there was no conflict of interest. Then 2 months into it they called and said they have to quit the case because there is a conflict of interest, that they didn't recognize a name at first. They promised me a full refund of my retainer.I did not receive a full refund of my retainer. They kept $260 for the title searches. Three names on their conflict of interest and title searches were totally incorrect, one name was misspelled and one name was incomplete. I had gone into the office and spelled out each name and given them the towns and/or cities where each of these people resided. In addition, they had a copy of each property title with the correct names because I had done the deed title searches and had copies of all the surveys and had given them the actual hard copy documents! There is no excuse for such poor work.So they quit the case 2 months into it because of conflict of interest. They charged me for searching titles with the wrong names and wrong spelling and kept $260 from my retainer for doing these searches. Not only had I put my trust in them as a law firm, which by the way was recommended to me by another lawyer, they left me scrambling to find another lawyer for this case when this was a time sensitive case and quickly running out, after they led me to believe progress was being made on my case. I will never recommend this firm to anyone, and in fact, I will tell them exactly what happened to me and warn them away..
