Badger Diner Bar and Grill
My girlfriend told me this place had the best fish and chips in Newfoundland, which is a lofty claim indeed. I have to say, I think she may be right.I got The Mess and she got a two piece, which she gave me one of. It was phenomenal. Fresh, not overcooked and you could go right through it with the fork with no effort. Combined with their in-house tartar sauce, it was to die for. The Mess is excellent, but don't plan on doing much after if you get it.The service was very friendly and while the decor won't win any awards, who cares? It still feels homey and welcoming. Bonus points for playing the rock station!Loved this place and I hope to be back some day.

Wow! The first restaurant we visited after flying in and it was worth it! The friendliest service and the food was spectacular! Edith, our server, was busy since the place was almost at capacity. Thank you! They also know how to handle food allergies like soy, dairy and gluten, with ease.

Not as expected, they were busy so the extended wait for our meal was expected. The fish was fresh but the batter was doughy, French fries were good not over fried or greasy. Club sandwich was barely edible, salty, a hint of lettuce which was limp & the slice of tomato was so thin I couldn’t taste it!No refills on our tea, never asked how the meal was, probably a good move.The place is dirty & washrooms, needs a good cleaning. Will we come back…never.

I love 'mom and pop' restaurants. Always great food, this restaurant didn't disappoint. Great service. Friendly staff. Always a plus, a clean washroom
