Best Western Plus Gatineau-Ottawa Downtown
I enjoyed my stay at this hotel.To me, if your stay at a hotel is quiet and uneventful, then that's a good sign.Plus it's located in a quiet area of town and AWAY from all the homeless people.Checking in and checking out was easy and straight forward.The room was nice and clean.Verdict: yes, I would come back again if I ever come back to Ottawa but it's a little pricey.

One of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had. The whole hotel is cramped and very dated. The hallway outside our room had a weird smell to it. Our room had the heat blasting when we first walked in. We tried to go for the free breakfast with our coupons they hand out, but no staff members were there and there were no plates. Parking is awful here, be prepared to park next to a bunch of boarded up houses.

Cleanliness was top-notch throughout the hotel. The rooms were clean, and the housekeeping staff did a fantastic job of ensuring everything was in order.Secondly, the beds were clean and comfortable. It was the perfect way to unwind and get a good night's sleep.The breakfast at BW was very good as well. The spread offered a variety of delicious options to start the day, and the staff made sure everything was well-stocked and enjoyable.The staff was polite and their friendly demeanor added an extra touch of warmth to the overall experience.Lastly, the hotel's location couldn't have been better. It was conveniently situated close to everything, making it easy to explore the surrounding attractions, shops, and restaurants without any hassle.Overall, my stay at BW (Best Western) was fantastic. I highly recommend it for those looking for a clean, comfortable, and conveniently located hotel with friendly staff and a great breakfast to start the day.

Best Western Plus Gatineau-Ottawa Downtown
Stayed for 3 nights during a festival. Hotel rooms were nice and the beds were very comfortable. Check-in didn't take too long but definitely wasn't fast. Be aware that parking is LIMITED! If you're bringing a car cross your fingers because the lots are small and kinda scattered. Also The area the hotel is in is also a little sketchy, don't hang outside at night with kids honestly. Quick check out was nice.

For a Best Western, this place was sketchy. Parking was difficult to find, our room was small, the bathroom was small, there was no cream/sugar/spoons with our Keurig, and one of the elevators were out of service.We were on the 7th floor, so the view was amazing.Room above us and beside us was loud, hallway was loud.

Prices are too high, and there is no room service. They even do not keep water bottles in the room, no toiletries. Coffee machine is just for the sake. Breakfast was ok. At the price they charge for one night, you can find better hotels.

Very uncomfortable rooms. Limited and slow elevators. We stayed at a suite on the executive floor. Had to wait between 5 to 15 minutes each way for elevator. The sofa bed was impossible to sleep on. Aged, dirty and uncomfortable. Check in took a very long time and the room was not ready even after the check in time. We asked for some help setting up the sofa bed, the room service who came to the room did not knock on the door just came in and didn’t even know how to make the sofa bed. Very poor experience at this location. Not even remotely close to a regular Beat Western, let alone a Best Western Plus. Breakfast was a disaster. No place to move no place to sit. Very poor value for money. You will be better off with other hotels in the area or Airbnb. I will never stay at this hotel again and will not recommend to anyone.

Horrible stay do not recommend, front desk was cold and not helpful, they did not even know the price of a room and could not tell me! I asked if they had a chit list of room prices and services and they said “no”. I booked a balcony room and was given a regular room and still charged the price of a balcony room, talked to front three times and they did nothing. A “Riverview” room is the a view of the parking lot and construction across the street. Limited parking that you have to pay for. Ice machine is in the basement. Tv did not work no signal and no cable box. Wifi did not work on my phone could not log in. Only one elevator working and was the slowest elevator I’ve ever seen, took about 5 minutes to show up to floor. Overall worst hotel and worst customer service I have ever experienced. Highly DO NOT recommend this hotel, will never go back.

When booking I had asked if they had a crib or playpen, it took 5 different calls to figure out if they had one. Hotel was “clean” but not… the stairwells (that you have to walk through to get to pool) were dirty and bugs (dead and alive) lined the hallway to the pool. There was also ants all over the pool deck. Room service was not a quick request, for simple towels and extra sheets. The breakfast was decent! Location was great if you don’t mind a short walk to downtown that is a very nice walk. If you’re looking for a more reasonable priced spot within walking distance, would recommend but don’t expect to be impressed with any part of your stay. I know there is a shortage in people wanting to work but this was a Tuesday night after March break, was pretty dead. Overall, ok spot if travelling with kids (because they are messy anyway), but not as a couple or solo.

Best Western Plus Gatineau-Ottawa Downtown
I started going there for the pool and let me tell you, I am so glad I did ! It's very quiet and you're most likely the only one in there. Front desk is always courteous and helpful, I really appreciate them ! I must admit I came across a few problems in the rooms regarding overall cleanliness and defective items, but nothing major and I changed rooms promptly. I do recommend if you're traveling in the area often like I am, they will easily accommodate you. Room service and breakfast have become available again !
