Vanguard College

Vanguard College is a great school. It's a Bible College that is all about developing Innovative, Spirit filled leaders and the professor's are fantastic. There is a huge sense of community in the school and you can approach almost anyone in the hallway for prayer and receive it. God is definitely working at Vanguard College and I would recommend to anyone that is interested in getting deeper into their relationship with God and/or one day being a part of ministry.

They didn't allow first year students to have laptops in the classroom. This shows a complete disregard for accessibility, as well as inability to effectively address conflict in their classrooms. The reason for this rule was that a select few rowdy students wouldn't pay attention in class one year, so they removed the right to laptops for all first year students as a blanket policy moving forward.I was taking a pastoral ministry program and was often regarded with surprise due to my gender by students and instructors alike, because I should be studying children's ministry or worship, not church leadership.I didn't have a home church at the time of attending, so getting an internship, which was required for my program, was proving to be difficult. They didn't make accommodations or offer placements to students like myself. It's very exclusionary to assume that all applicants will have that kind of relationship with a church lined up and ready to go.I decided to drop out of before the cutoff date as I was disgusted by all of the above information as well as their student policies.In order to drop out you must sign a document that also requires additional signatures from school leadership. They made me do this in person, for some kind of mandatory exit interview.The receptionist sat with me first and literally tried to guilt me into staying with the school. I wouldn't back down and started disregarding her increasingly emotional protests and guilt trips.Eventually, I got the signatures I required and left, never returning.This university was the last straw that killed my Christian faith. I went there to study church leadership in the hopes of eventually establishing my own congregation, implementing effective change to harmful, bigoted and hateful evangelical practises... To and left with no faith remaining at all.

Great school, great teachers and great atmosphere for learning. If your interested in becoming a pastor, or even in just learning more about God or theology I'd highly recommend this place

Vanguard is an amazing college! I am a 4th year female student who always felt edified and welcomed while attending here. This school is very welcoming to women in ministry of all programs and offer as much support as you need. We even had Women in Ministry Q&A" with guest speakers such as a female senior pastor.All of the students are kind and I have made many life-long friends here. The staff always helps you to achieve your goals

Wasn't nothing special. But if I were 10 years younger, it would definitely become special in the most chivalrous manner.

Attended between 2018-2022 and graduated with a BA in Theology. If you’re looking to learn more about the Bible, discipleship, and community Vanguard is the place! You get out of it whatever you put into it! Would recommend to anyone of any learning degree, whether you’re wanting to attend 1, 2 or 4 years.
