The institute requested that my wife be available for an unheard-of 3 hours for Dr. Bhindi's call and not only did we not hear from him, but nobody had the courtesy to contact us to rebook the appointment. We have called several times and nobody answers and it's not possible to leave a message. I've even tried to fill out the website contact form which errors out. Very upsetting that a patient needs to jump through these hoops while struggling with health issues

Recently I had prostate issue and went through TURP procedure. As per their protocol, they discharge next day of surgery but I was bleeding lot and passing clots too. Still hospital staff forced me to go home. Very next day my complications got worst & I had to rush to ER. ER doctor couldn't make decision and referred me back to Urologist. I was admitted back in same section after 18 hours of wait and pain. I was in hospital for another 2 day and then discharged. ER doctor asked urologist to discuss with me but no one show up and left with nurses.Dr. Bhindi did the procedure so I was contacting his admin Jennifer but she was always rude and never allow to reach Doctor. Before and after surgery she provided all incorrect information, dealt with rude behavior and most of the time not available on phone. Their phone system is also ridiculous as don't allow to leave message or no queue system. So keep trying to call for hours and days. Not a good experience at all specially when you have to go through lots of pain, complications and trouble. Myself and my family went through hell.

I was so thrilled when I walked into this clinic. The front staff - super nice and welcoming. Dr. B. Miles is my specialist and he’s the greatest listener and super caring as well. He listened to every single worry and concern I had, and did take everything into consideration. Which is amazing. He made sure he documented every single detail I gave him. Since my case is a bit of a mystery right now, I have high hopes! Having a doctor that overly cares about your well-being is very important to me - and he falls right under that list!

Directions should be updated with a photo. The clinic is located on top of a parking garage and not easy to find because of that. You can drive by the unmarked building thinking the entire structure is a parking lot.Real directions to get here:1. Drive up to Rockview ER/temp Entrance2. Stop right at the ER entrance3. Look to your right there's a parking lot, that's where you need to go. Sixth floor4. Find parking5. Take elevator to 3rd floor. Get off 3rd floor.6. Take another elevator to the 6th floor, finally you've made it.NOTE: avoid going through the hospital to this clinic. There's also a urology within the hospital and you'll get directed there as even staff are not 100% aware of this clinic existing.

I am extremely pleased with this prostate clinic. I have been monitored for several years and had two biopsies and an MRI. We are very lucky to have such a wonderful clinic that specializes in prostates and urology, and with some of the top urologists in Canada. It is part of the South Alberta Institute of Urology which apparently is the largest and most comprehensive urological centre in Canada.Doctors Dushinski and Hyndman have given me great professional care for years.

I phoned to ask for a follow up appointment with Dr Dushinski today and the lady who answered the phone had a harsh and disrespectful tone in her voice, very unprefessional. She didn't sound accommodating and it sounded like it was such a bother to answer calls. If you are a phone receptionist, be courteous. Learn the basic phone courtesy please?

After getting a referral from my general practitioner I had a very difficult time booking an appointment. Once I had finally secured an appointment I was told the day of that the time of the appointment had to be changed to an hour and a half earlier than originally scheduled or the dr would not be able to see me. I was able to change my schedule and make it to the appointment only to have the doctor do a very rushed and brief assessment. He then told me that my issue had nothing to do with the urology department and ended the appointment. My condition has since worsened and my general practitioner doesn’t know what to do except refer me to the urologist again. I don’t understand how this is acceptable practice. For now I just live in pain as it spreads to other areas of my body.

So far not very happy. The initial appointment felt rushed, the procedure I guess was okay but in the first 10 weeks after the procedure not one phone call to check up, then every time I try to call always a machine. When I finally got a person I was told that it would be two more weeks to get results in. The way I was told was unkind as well. As though I am supposed to know that time frame.Every other Doctor seems to be able to get results back in a few days?I have now waited past the two weeks and still not one phone call, and now when I try all day to get someone all of a sudden the message reads that the phones are turned off until the 18th. It’s a good thing I was not tested or treated for Cancer I could be missing out on treatment or getting worse without knowing? This is not right or fair to keep people in the dark for so long about their procedure. It’s already difficult to even go in. I hope I get an answer after the 18th. In the mean time I intend to tell my Doctor to think twice about sending people their for a referral. It may not be the Doctor but if the staff he has is preventing me from getting things in a timely manner or if there is not enough staff to keep up then the Doctor should at least be aware and try to fix it. Mainly I am upset at the lack of any follow up and if everything is okay.

My review is based on my Dad's doctors (Gotto and Pommerville). Since February of this year my dad has had little assistance. I've had to call several times, write emails several times to get an answer on the outcome of his procedure, only to speak with the Dr and not getting any real answer... our family doctor never receives any follow-up about any procedures. They don't call at their appointed scheduled times, they take forever to follow-up with tests or referrals. Horrible communicators, slow on getting things done... they don't just don't care, and if they did, I wouldn't be writing this review.

I recently had a TURP operation at the Rockyview Hospital in Calgary.Everything went extremely well. Dr John Dushinsky was so professional and all his staff spoke highly of him. The anesthesiologist gave me his recommendations for the type anesthetic after explaining my options and I’m very happy I went along with it. (General)The aftercare was impeccable. The nurses on the urology ward were so good and kind I have no complaints at all.The surgery went so well that two days after surgery I feel like I’m completely back to normal although I know I have to take it easy for the next month as per Dr Dushinsky’s instructions.I can’t speak highly enough of the staff here at Rockyview.
