I called the pharmacy to fill my prescription and was on hold for 20 minutes. Hung up and called back again 3 more times over the duration of an hour and still no response. Called customer service (who was helpful) and was redirected to the pharmacy where I was put on hold for 15 more minutes. Redialed customer service and was told that the pharmacy was simply “not picking up their phones”. Never ended up getting through to the pharmacy after 1.5 hours of trying and didn’t get my prescription I needed for that day. Very disappointed in the lack of care and responsibility few of the workers appear to have for their profession. People rely on these services and may even experience serious negative impacts when they cannot reach through to receive the help they need. Please do better, your job is important and necessary and must be looked at with greater care and consideration.

Only been to this pharmacy 3 times. Each time i came there was a line to the wall for pick up. (30 min wait max) Some people working in the pharmacy are so kind and some have the worst attitude. It is always hit or miss, will i be treated with basic respect or will someone roll their eyes and raise their voice this time? Do they even respect their customers. Never sending my prescriptions here again.

Starting to lose faith in this location. Recent pharmacy experience was extremely poor. There were no less than 4 staff literally sitting down chatting while I stood there waiting to pick up my prescription without being acknowledged. I was there for probably 5 minutes before some other staff member chatting with a pharmacist finally looked up and said he would be right with me, which was another several minutes. I've also had prescriptions not filled after being sent by my doctor at this location several times in the past.Also tonight I showed up to pick up a package at the post office at 8:47. I know it sucks to have to work until 9 pm on a Friday but why have posted hours until 9 if you're going to close almost 15 minutes early? There's one amazing young girl that works there and the rest are always miserable. Working until 8:30 makes it difficult enough to make it by 9 and then they turn around and close early. Not really impressed at the moment.

I go to this Shopper's at least twice a week. Always stocked, always clean and staff are alwayas helpful. Pharmacy is really good here. Makeup counter staff are very nice too and will always answer questions and help. Really like going to this location. Only thing it's missing is a beauty bar!

If I could give Zero stars I would, I will never be using this pharmacy again. On top of messing up my prescriptions on more then one occasion I called today to confirm the meds from my dental surgery were ready for pick up they said absolutely. Yet when I went to pick it up not only did they not know what I was talking about they didn't have the prescription in my file at all. The lack of care at everything by all members within the pharmacy tonight was extremely upsetting.

Went with my daughter to pay for her meds, prescription was dropped off two days prior, after waiting half an hour, it wasn't ready, had to come back. My wife requested a refill on Wednesday, went in on Saturday, not ready yet, said will we ready in 30 to 40 minutes, come back 2 hrs later, they lost it, takes three people to find it. This place has seriously gone downhill.How can I change my rating from 1 to -100? In the past six months since I posted my original review, the situation there has only become worse. Seems like it's time to start looking for a new pharmacy and maybe drag along as many people as I can with me.I would LOVE the pharmacist to give me ONE good reason to stay, but I seriously doubt there can be one.

Feb 2023Once the number of refills of a prescription medication runs out, my doctor's office asks that the pharmacy fax a prescription request to the doctor. I ask the pharmacy to do this, and they do submit a fax electronically (using the system's application). I called the doctor's office to check if they have received the fax, and find that it is not received. Reception says that the fax machine is working because there are other faxes that have been received. Thinking that the fax number is incorrect, I get the doctor's office fax machine number and call the pharmacy to compare fax numbers only to find that the fax numbers are the same. I explain to the pharmacy that the doctor's office is not receiving the fax when they submit using the application, and they try again. Once again, it is not received by the doctor's office. Since I need this medication, I drove to the pharmacy in the evening and was greeted at the prescription drop off station. I explained that there is a problem when a fax is sent to my doctor's office through their application. After I explained this, she completed a form and sent the fax manually, which was received at my doctor's office.It seems that there is a problem with the software that submits the fax electronically to the doctor's office. I called the Shopper's 1-800 number to report this and was told that they cannot help me. If it is not user error and there is a software issue, can they not notify someone to submit a support ticket to get the software looked into? There is clearly a problem!Dec 2022When I was handed my prescription, I was told that I'd have to pay the full amount for it because the prov. government is randomly not covering expensive prescriptions. I was given a 'Special Support Program Application', which is for drug cost assistance. This is not relevant in my case as I am covered under the medical benefits of my employer, which shows in their system. I've been getting this prescription filled here for about 7 months without a problem until now. For something that should have been processed with 100% coverage, I will have to pay and will now submit a manual claim with my insurer. I should not have been handed a 'Special Support Program Application'. I even asked about submitting a claim manually, which got no response. I was told to fill out the application form and return for full refund when I get a letter resulting from the application. The Drug Plan Assistance Branch asks for financial details in the form and require that I provide copies of my income tax assessment. Some training of the staff is needed here. After I received incorrect advice about my medication coverage, I left feeling so frustrated.The next day ...After speaking with my insurance company, it turns out that the pharmacy was to inform me of the warnings and let me know that I need to enroll in the pharmacare program within the province. The warning was sent to the pharmacy each time the prescription was filled. Finally, the insurance company cut off the coverage since no paperwork was received.

I ended up paying full price for a bunch of things ticketed to be on sale. All of them were under 10 dollars. They didn't follow the consumer protection scanning act that they say Shoppers is supposed to follow. As I didn't catch it before I left because I have a visual working disorder. I went back a couple days later, and the lady gave me just the sale price. Only if I gathered everything up again from the store as I had the receipt emailed. I couldn't find everything. Had it rescanned in. I was refunded only part of the full amount as I couldn't find everything on the list. And then had to repay for the items. Somehow I feel like I ended up paying more in the long run. So be aware at this shoppers.
