My partner and I started taking weekly lessons together with Roberto toward the end of 2021. He is an excellent Spanish teacher, puts you at ease and keeps it challenging but fun! Each lesson is so varied in the way he teaches from speaking, typing and visualizing, watching videos and listening to music. It makes it so much easier to break down the trickier parts of learning the language and we already feel like we have learnt so much and become more confident! I genuinely look forward to the lessons and we laugh so much the time flies by! Highly recommend!

I have been studying Spanish with Roberto for almost two years now, and the longer I study, the more there is a desire and interest not only in mastering the Spanish language, but also in studying the culture and traditions of Spain and Latin America. He is an excellent, very professional teacher. I really like his teaching system and a lot of very interesting and useful additional materials.Roberto is always ready to find a convenient time for classes. He is a very charismatic, pleasant and polite person. I am very satisfied and would highly recommend Roberto to anyone who wants to learn a new language or improve their level of Spanish.

I've been learning Portuguese from Roberto and honestly it's a game changer. Previously I was using random apps (duolingo, bravo, etc) but I couldn't stick with it. Though Roberto I'm learning not just random words but the proper conjugations of verbs and about Brazillian culture!His teaching style is super friendly, if I ever have any questions or even if I am having a tough time with something I would let him know and he would accommodate. You can really tell he has a passion for teaching and it really helps when learning a whole new language. Highly recommend Roberto! :)

Roberto makes learning a new language fun. He finds materials geared to my interests, which speeds up my learning and keeps me motivated.As he has been teaching remotely well before the pandemic, he uses Zoom seamlessly.Roberto is an excellent teacher. He is patient and kind, as well as professional and organized. I would strongly recommend him.

Roberto has been a keen and positive language teacher. I started in January with great unease but appreciated his patience and enthusiasm. I continue to work with Roberto and find his style of mixing practice, lecture, and cultural diversions very helpful for keeping my attention - especially when the concepts are challenging. I would highly recommend Avatar Languages to a beginner (my current skill). With anything - success is based on effort - and a good teacher.

Roberto's passion for teaching languages makes him a great instructor. I was initially intimidated to learn Spanish since I have no background in this language however am happy that I enrolled in private lessons with Roberto because I have progressed way faster than trying to learn it on my own. Classes are well structured and the pace of learning is tailored to my level of knowledge. He has helped me to establish a strong foundation for the fundamentals and a great starting point for further development.

Roberto is a really passionate, patient, and friendly teacher :)He incorporates dynamic topics including Brazilian culture, so his classes are always very interesting and fun. We use the textbook (which I love) but also he provides a variety of materials (music, article, video...) that allow me to study and learn after class.When the teacher teaches with passions and classes are fun, It is hard to not be motivated my effort to study :) Look forward to having more classes with him on my journey and becoming a fluent Portuguese speaker!
