We've had home monitoring alarm service from this company via takeovers, name changes for the past 8 yrs. and recently they sold my account to Telus (formally ADT)without any prior notice. I received a letter in the mail on May 18,22 (dated May 13) informing me of the change and to contact Telus to open any account. This change apparently happened on May 1, 2022. Best part is that Prism charged my card for May monitoring service and then Telus told me that I was past due for May and to pay them. Dishonest I would say.

Amin and his team are awesome, very professional, very careful, and simply know their stuff.We updated our old system with camera's and newer technology. Steve the head installer was FANTASTIC!!! Professional service right from start to finish. After calling around to many different companies, Prism was the only alarm company willing and able to resolve an existing issue that we had with an old alarm system. Front office staff were knowledgeable, kind, and provided an estimated (and accurate) quote upfront. The technician arrived on time, worked efficiently to complete the job in a timely manner, and did not attempt to upsell us in any way. What impressed me most of all was his efforts to explain his repair to me and ensure I understood everything I needed to know about our system before he left. I will definitely be using this company again in the future.

We had Prism install a security and entertainment system into our new build house. All the staff that came out were polite and respectful. They upsold my husband on a lot of technology that we don't really use. The Sonos sound system works through Wifi and you need an app. I find it annoying and would prefer Bluetooth speakers. The tv/surround sound remote was ridiculously expensive and very hard to set up and we only use the Shaw remote anyway.There have been a lot of issues with the security system and for the first year were resolved under warranty, but now one of the cameras is not working and since it's a little over a year, they want about $500 to replace it. The Wifi doorbell sometimes chimes with no reason and looses connection with the system every time the power goes out and I had to learn how to find the new IP address and enter it into the system or pay for a service call every time. Shaw offered to upgrade our router, but Prism installed another router that uses the Shaw router as a bridge and I have no clue how to change it and don't want to pay a service tech to sit here on hold with Shaw for an hour. Our internet seems slow but I don't know if it's Shaw or just too much stuff connected to it with the speakers, cameras and doorbell. Don't let them sell you on hi-tech stuff, it goes wrong often. Just stick to the basics that you know how to reset or replace if something stops working.

A few years ago I purchased a full camera system from this company for $3,500. I also signed up for a monitoring contract. I have used this company for the past for years and have recommended them to many friends and business colleagues. When it came to cancellation they sent me abrupt emails and threatened me with legal action if I didnt pay their cancellation fee of over $700.I have asked for the owner to call me and I have never had a call back. Very unprofessional and that is not how you conduct business. All I got was another threatening email of legal action. There are many good alarm companies out there, my advise do your homework and NOT use this company for you alarm needs. They are not a a professional company
