Front Lawn needed to be replaced after some concrete renovations. Brock Landscaping provided a quote for the sod work and within two days completed it. We are very satisfied with work and how it turned out. Brock also provided us with tips on how to care for the new lawn. Thank you Brock Landscaping!

Thanks so much to Brock (& family) for doing another wonderfully efficient and professional complete resod of our backyard today. I was in a little bit of a bind and Brock totally bailed me out. Very prompt with responding and very easy to talk to. He was very professional and you can't beat the price! I would totally use Brock again if I need to rent a mini excavator.

Brock’s relandscaped our front lawn with their bobcat and sodded it all in one day! They did exactly what we wanted them to do, the chap operating the bobcat was very good. Then the sod team arrived and laid it all down and cleaned up, all in about 2 hours. We’re very pleased with the quality and value of their work. The fact that this review is under my daughters name and not my own. Is because I don't use the internet. And do very few reviews. But everything from talking with Brock on the phone. And Nick coming to my place to do some work. They met and surpassed all of my expectations. So if you need any work done that's on their web site. Don't hesitate to call Brock. You won' t regret it. Brock and his team did a great job creating a clean and welcoming outdoor space, after doing some heavy lifting to remove a great deal of shrubbery and potato stone. His team was gracious and hardworking (they didn't even stop for the rain!), and the whole project was priced competitively. Thank you for making my home feel new again!

If you’re going to have your name on your vehicle, perhaps you should make sure the driver of your disposal truck doesn’t drive recklessly and dangerously. Not the first time this fine gentleman has cut me off, this time flipping the bird. Seriously where did you get this guy. He also seems it necessary to repeatedly park illegally in Metro car park blocking the pedestrian walkway. I would strongly recommend some driver training. Very bad reflection of your company.

Pros:*Communication prior to the actual day of the job was good*Quote was done over the phone with a photo sent for the itemized estimate*Crew was friendly*There were eight unforeseen abnormally long 5-foot deep concrete footings from a pre-existing pergola and deck railing system that the crew removed for a small up-charge for disposal.*Both crew members helped re-install the fence panels that had been removed.*Payment was convenient via an e-transferCons:*Expected to start at 8:30AM, I messaged at 10:00AM wondering if the job was still on. One crew member arrived at 11:45AM, the second crew member started closer to 12:30AM. The job was wrapped up at 6:30PM.*There were only two crew members working to excavate a 1-foot depth across approximately 480 square feet ahead of installing patio paver stones.*There were no precision/tech. tools set up to measure grade or the slope of the backyard, so that there would be a consistent one-foot depth.*A section of plants beyond the dig area was destroyed.*In order to keep things moving as the dump truck was making a run, the remaining crew member began dumping the excess earth/dirt in the school parking lot. When I noticed this following his first or second dump, I approached the employee about it questioning the strategy. I was told it would be clean once they were done. To his credit, they did sweep and leaf blow the dirt. With this being said, a thick layer of dirt remains, so dumping the dirt in the school’s parking lot was not a good idea.*There are visible stains of either oil or gasoline on the sidewalk.*There was no consultation/walk through prior to the machinery being packed up by a site supervisorMy wife and I feel that due to the late start and possible shortage of crew members a number of items were rushed.In the aftermath of this excavation job, we feel similarly to when we had some windows replaced years ago. Numerous dings/imperfections in the trim, rushed/thin caulking, and peeled drywall paper near two windows were items that were not cared for upon closer examination of the completed window replacement job the next day.Like that window replacement, when we took a look at the work the next day, we noticed a number of items that were not done to expectations.We appreciated how Brock and his crew tried its best to honour our excavation date of July 23rd. In hindsight, it may have been better had we been made aware of the staffing shortage earlier that morning and rescheduled for a later date. If it was a case that the job turned out to be more involved than expected than talk with us about paying more money. In any event we were expecting to get an excavated area that had a fairly consistent one foot depth and we didn’t get that.We think the late start and staffing challenges possibly resulted in an excavation job that would not have been left the way it was had the dig been prepared for one of their stone laying crews to start working on. We generously tipped the two crew members and provided them with food and water throughout the day.Due to the lack of precision with the dig, we had to spend approximately three days continuing to prep the area for receiving the screening for our paving stones.This review was posted for Brock’s General Contracting of 2380 Royal Windsor Drive, Oakville on August 20th after emailing the company on August 4th, and text messaging Brock a week ago. Both of my communication efforts got no response.

I rented a Bobcat S70 and an excavator to clear and level my yard for paving patio. It’s the best price I have found in the rental market: 1. their renewal daily charge is very competitive. 2. they won’t charge you if raining!The S70 is powerful and efficient so that I can dig 20+ cubic yard soil and remove some bushes by myself. I recommend S70 for levelling your hard ground before paving. It can easily access my backyard through a 45” sidewalk. But you should consider mini track loader like MT100 instead if working on soft soil.I have to mention I have some communication problems with the guy who answers phones. Fortunately their charge were reasonable and delivery service is good.
