As a young adult just beginning their guitar journey, Joel always made me feel comfortable and confident in my abilities. No matter my skill level, progress rate, or favourite music genres Joel was extremely patient and supportive in each lesson. He caters his lessons around the student and makes sure to focus on their own goals as a guitar player. I never once felt limited by my abilities, my age, or my gender in Joel's lessons and I would definitely recommend him as a guitar teacher to anyone I know - young or old!

Joel is an incredible teacher, not just because he's insanely talented (he is), unbelievably patient (he's got patience in spades), and genuinely funny (nice bonus!), but because he actually cares.I've been going to Joel for over a year, and the care he puts into making sure I'm always getting the most out of my practice, that I'm getting better, and that I can always rely on him for honest feedback, is incredible.Can't speak highly enough about Joel. If you're interested in learning (or just improving and refining!) your guitar playing, definitely give him a try.

Joel is a fantastic teacher. He is the first guitar teacher I've had who was able to teach me in a way that made sense to me. Joel is a wonderful guitar teacher. He is very patient, encouraging and fun during lessons with our 11 year old son - who really likes Joel too. Joel encourages him to find music he loves, while teaching the essentials of guitar. The best guitar teacher you will find in the area!!
