My homestager recommended Benjamin Moore to me years ago & I haven't bought paint anywhere else since. The staff is knowledgeable & very patient when they have helped my wife & I decide on a colour or product that we plan to live with for years at a time. The shop has a real small town charm to it & a pleasure to support. I love that the product we use is recorded on file for each room so that years later & can repaint the same colour or buy touch up jars without having to save labels or details.

Purchased a can of paint of my wife's choosing and got partially through painting the room when I was informed the color was awful. Stopped in a gave the consultant some not so clear instructions, as I understood them, as to what the color needed to be. Apparently she had some supper powers because once the revamped paint was on the wall it was apparently perfect.

Painting intimidates me. I don't enjoy it. First task was to paint all my interior doors. The staff asked me pertinent questions to determine what type of paint might be on my old doors. It ended up that I required primer and paint. The staff estimated exactly enough product to complete the job. Although the task was much more time consuming that I expected, I was thrilled with the final result. My confidence slightly boosted I thought I'd try my hand at painting interior walls. I've asked questions about painting products at the big box stores before and never felt confident in what I was being told. On that note, because I trust the knowledge of the staff at Royal City Colours it is the only place I'll purchase my paint and supplies.

Bryon was very helpful in getting us a warranty replacement of a blind. We originally called just for information on where to have the blind restrung, but he went out of his way to contact the blind rep and get us a free replacement. Very much appreciated.

Went in the pick up New West heritage home show tickets (not for paint). It's a cute little full service paint store - which has loads of stock and accessories are nicely displayed. Gorgeous heritage building in it's own rite - this store has been at this location for eons.

Very friendly, patient and extremely helpful staff. Unfortunately it seems they may be changing ownership and are currently short staffed. When I was here a month ago, I had to wait almost an hour. But definitely to no ones fault. There was only 1 person running the place and a line up of massive orders.The paint may or may not have markups, as they seem a bit more expensive then other locations. BUT I need to confirm this...Overeall tho, amazing location and will definitely come back.

I took in a small piece of drywall to colour match for touch-ups. Having been turned away at Rona and Lowe’s for the piece being too small and not perfect enough to match, I didn’t expect too much. But the staff here said no problem. Took time to investigate thoroughly and were able to match it perfectly. After doing touch ups it is a perfect match. From now on won’t go anywhere else for paint.Extremely knowledgeable and helpful staff!!

Royal City Colours came through for me! I had an issue with Sherwin-Williams, they couldn't make one of their own in house colours work in an interior latex. I took their colour chip to Patricia and she matched it in a Benjamin-Moore latex and it went on beautifully !

Royal city colours did a colour match for me from some 15 yr old paint that doesn’t exist anymore from some scratches of paint in the old cans and they were PERFECTION. I will definitely come back here.
