The biggest reason I go to Altea is for Alex's Detox hot yoga class. I have been going since the gym's opening as I needed to regain strength and flexibility.Since taking this class I've seen a noticeable positive change in my physical and mental well-being. Alex brings a science aspect to the practice which I appreciate having a science background myself. The class has a great vibe with the music and sounds he incorporates and he is always willing to help or answer any questions.I highly recommend giving Alex's Detox hot yoga class a try. It's really helped me in several aspects of my life.

The gym is beautiful, they have great classes and I've enjoyed my time here. However, there are times where I feel like the people who work at the front aren't very friendly or welcoming.I tried to bring a guest on a Wednesday mid-day and we were denied (the gym wasn't even close to being busy) We were told it is to prevent CLUTTERING during the week. Very odd to describe your members and guests as clutter. Why is there this stupid rule of bringing guests only on weekends? This seems completely backwards since the weekends are always the busiest.Pros- Great looking space- Really awesome amenities- Fun and challenging classes- They provide snacks like apples and bananas- Awesome treadmillsCons- Lockers are finicky, someone can definitely just reset your password and get in. I would never put something very important or expensive in it.- Hot Yoga studio isn't really hot (which is one of my favourite classes but I wish the temperature was a bit hotter) I TAKE THIS BACK - it's hot again!- The new guest policy sucks and I think they should consider lowering the price if you're a member bringing in a guest.- The squat rack weights are always all over the place and not organized. It's also such a busy area, you'll definitely need to wait to use it. (overall we need more space for working out)

I've visited Altea a couple times now and the gym has pretty much all the equipment and amenities that a gym would need. Lots of space too. The only thing id wish they would provide more of is free guest passes as the gym is designed to be a social club but its quite difficult to come as a guest. The employees are also very friendly, the few times I've visited one of the workers named Oliver was super welcoming and easy to talk to. He was really helpful when I was there and definitely needed to give him an extra thanks.

Love the whole facility. You get modern, functional space with good equipment and unlimited classes. Happy with price/value added balance. Pool is great and saunas are perfect. My number one reason to go lately are the hot and anti gravity yoga classes mainly with Alex. He is an amazing yoga instructor, and the sound healing sessions are not to miss either! Thank you all!

You can clearly see what you are paying for, this is an elevated experience all around. By far the best gym I've ever been, unlimited towels, steam room, lockers, good soap products and a large selection of weights and machines. Doesn't really compare to anything else in the area.

I absolutely love Altea. It’s become my happy place. I started going in May and was really nervous about using the weight area and machines. I hadn’t been in a gym in 3 years and was super intimidated. My first 2 month all I did was the classes. They have such a great range of options and the instructors are great. My favourite class is boxing with Tina or Will. They’re both awesome instructors. However, I really wanted to move away from the classes and find confidence in the machine/ weight area. I decided to take advantage of the free demo training session they offer and ended up doing 3 more sessions with trainer Camilo. This helped immensely for me to become more comfortable using the machines. I think the biggest thing that scared me was not knowing what I was doing and looking stupid. The training sessions were helpful for me to learn a bunch of different machines and gave me the confidence to start going in there alone. The app is also super helpful. Most of the machines have barcodes you can scan and they’ll show you a video of how to use it. I now use the weights and machines about 6 days a week. I even go in on some rest days just to use the steam and hot tub. The only downside is how crazy busy it can get during the day. I usually go around 9:30/10pm and it’s nice and quiet. The people at this gym are also amazing. The front desk staff is great and I noticed everyone minds their business while working out. I was so paranoid about looking stupid and not knowing what I’m doing but honestly nobody pays attention to anyone else. This gym also has a great range of machines. The only thing me and my gym friends all wish they had is a smith machine. It’d be such a great addition if they could make room for one. I also tried out the bowling and games area with some friends recently and it was so much fun. Overall I absolutely love this gym and I’m extremely proud of the progress I’ve seen since I started going. It’s such a positive environment and the staff works hard to keep the place clean. I’d highly recommend Altea to anyone considering joining.Update: They added a smith machine!!

Been going to this gym; for a year now. Overall, I like it. I enjoy the classes and the amenities like steam room and hot tub. However, the towels are laughably small, the shower stall doors don't locked, things are often broken and take forever to repair. The classes are hit or miss.My main issue is to price, so buyers beware. We paid the 99$ enrollment fee (which is so expensive) then signed up for the annual contract. When signing up, we were told that there would be no increases to the sign up rate. I was slapped with an extra 16$ a month for my membership. Overall, I don't think the experience matches price.

Update: Recently became a member and so happy with the decision. As someone who is most interested in the classes offered, it is so worth the money. Love the facility as a whole and the amenities as well.Attended two of Alex’s Sound Healing Workshops and absolutely loved them. Truly a one of a kind experience and something I now look forward to each month. Not currently a member, but considering becoming one based on my experience!

Love this gym. Great amenities and gym is large with lots of equipment. My favourite aspect of Altea is the yoga which is included. In particular, the classes by Alex Petrogiani. I regularly attend his hot yoga detox and yin classes and they have been life changing. Alex is an amazing communicator and is the best yoga instructor that I have practiced with (and I’ve gone to many studios). Could not say enough good things about Alex and Altea. Very thankful
