Tried Egg rolls, General Tao chicken, general Tao tofu and veg fried rice.Tofu was amazing but the rest was below par. Rice isn't served on the side of general Tao in this place.

This is our go-to restaurant for Chinese food in NDG ever since we started restaurant hunting after moving into the neighborhood and have been recommending it to friends since.Food is well seasoned, not drowning in oil. Their fried dishes seemed to be fried in clean oil and you can tell because it tastes just as good the day after (dirty oil turns us away from other Chinese restos). Chili oil is mild but delish - I take one for home everytime.Price is like every other resto these days, so no complaints. It hits nostalgia every time I go here. Its Canadian style Chinese food done verrrry good. Also thank you for being the honour of our daughter's first place to try Chinese food hahahah

We had eggrolls, fried calamari, ginger beef and red curry beef. The first 3 were great, red curry beef ok. We were served nicely and fast on a Friday night, the portions were generous.

The Yangtze's signature fried rice tasted really nice. Warm decorating style, and the staffs were also very friendly. You also get a fortune cookie as a gift when leaving :)

Stars strictly for the egg rolls - they’re famous here, but not cheap: they come to $3 per roll. Rest of the menu is okay, except western-style Chinese food.

This was a very hard one to rate honestly. I really feel bad for all restaurants because of the increase in prices and supply chain issues that happened during the pandemic. However, from a consumer standpoint I also understand why people would say this establishment is overpriced. Now considering everything I would give it 4 stars because there was nothing wrong with my order and I thought the taste was fine. I took 1 star off because after careful consideration it just wasn't worth the money for me. I cannot justify spending $3 on a single spring roll and $4 for a side of rice. There are other similar restaurants that charge similarly high prices but I find the taste, portions, and the quality to be better. I wish the owners the best but I think they should take into consideration their clients' opinions. A lot of the complaints I read before writing my review seemed very justified. There were many low ratings for long delivery times and quality of food. When paying a little bit extra I think it is justified to expect that the product will be a little better. However, this establishment doesn't really have any qualities that make stand out from others so I understand why people would complain. Customers will look at the prices and taste of the food and think I could get this for cheaper somewhere else"."

This is the first time I order food delivery from here. In overall, I was quite disappointed for the delivery service and the food quality. I consider me as a quite easy customer but i didn't feel comfortable and willing to pay for the price compared to its sevice and food.1. In term of service: the gentleman who answered my call was reasonable, kind and calm. That is the only reason that make me keep 3 stars for the restaurant.2 . In term of delivery service: I ordered at 7:05pm and was told that my order would arrive after 1 hour. It was kind of long but can understandable if the restaurant was busy. After 1hour, I still didn't receive my order. I called them again and was told that the delivery man had been quite busy so that he would came in next 20mins. I was still okay and waited then. However, 30 mins later, I still did not receive my order and tried to call them again. The answer is that I still needed to wait another 10mins. Until I nearly called them again to cancel my order, the delivery man came at 8:55pm, around 2hours after I put my order. :( I can understand that you are busy and the delivery man is quite old, but 2hours for a delivery is kind of unexceptabe for me. Forgot to mention that my house is just 650m away from the restaurant.3. In term of food quality: even I was super hungry after 2 hours waiting, the food did not make a wow for me, even they were still hot enough. I ordered 1 fried rice, 1 mapo tofu, and 1 sweet and sour pork as the recommendation from the gentleman. One good point for the sweet and sour pork is that the pork was kept juicy and tender enough. The portion is good for 2 persons. However, the taste was just so so, nothing was significant at all. One thing that I would recommend is to precure your pork before cooking, since it were still smelled bad and affected the taste of the whole dish (both for the mapo tofu and the sweet and sour pork). I don't even want to mention about the fried rice. :(

Very expensive, small portions. We ordered a few dishes and it was $135, plus no rice on the side why not?? To anyone else who orders, you’ll have to pay extra. Will never order from this place again.
