Great service

I've been to this funeral home several times in the past 11 years. Mr. Alves is a knowledgeable, kind and patient counselor. The Mausoleum (located in the back of the parking) is a beautiful place to have your loved ones service there.

Je ne peut pas croire que l'on peut répondre au téléphone avec un tel manque d'empathie! Mon père leur avait dit que si il voulait faire affaire avec eux IL les contacterait. La petite secrétaire à appeler mon père pour savoir où étais rendu le corps de ma Mère car il ne l'avait pas reçu. Mon père à donc dit qu'il avait trouver un autre salon et s'il aurait fait affaire avec eux IL les Contacterait à ce sujet.La jeune Dame à donc dit de vive voix: eh bien la prochaine fois essayer donc de nous aviser ! OK bye... Nous n'avons prit aucun engagement pour votre Salon! En passant, mon père attend toujours l'appel du responsable du Salon car je crois que la petite secrétaire n'a pas prit le message...

Je veux souligner le professionnalisme, la disponibilité de même que l'efficacité du travail de Mike Démosthène lors du décès de mon mari Roger Brosseau. Non seulement au moment des événements mais à plusieurs occasions pas la suite.Célyne Brosseau

Memoria - Funeral Home - St. Martin Blvd, LavalFuneral home employees understand confidentiality is paramount to the success and survival of the funeral home. When my brother Frank Recine carried out the funeral arrangements at Memoria with the guidance of Pedro , he requested that the file be marked CONFIDENTIAL. When I went to the funeral home with personal items for my dad’s burial, I was denied basic information about the funeral. All I was told was the time and place. There was to be family only, no viewing, no mass, no flowers, not even a picture of my dad. When I asked Pedro to open the casket, he replied that he could not, Frank would not allow it. Pedro, THE SALES REPRESENTATIVE, acted more like an enforcer with a total lack of compassion for the rest of the family.Now, because my father’s file is still CONFIDENTIAL, the location of the crypt is also confidential. Meaning that if you ask the receptionist at Memoria where my dad is buried, you will not get the information because the file is CONFIDENTIAL. Had it not been for a family member wanting to pay respects to my dad, I never would have known this. I found out today while I was visiting my mom for her birthday. I immediately went to the office and as fate would have it, Pedro was at the counter.He admitted that the location of the crypt is not revealed if the file is confidential. That the employee was doing the right thing by not divulging the information requested. Does MEMORIA expect us to search every crypt on all 4 floors in order to find the deceased? Does MEMORIA recognize the long term ramifications of the CONFIDENTIAL clause? Apparently, it cannot be removed!!!! I suggest Memoria reviews this with their reps. Afterall, the mausoleum is a public place and where someone is buried should not be a secret.My dad is dead and buried, the burial ceremony was a disaster never before seen in the Italian community. It was an insult, and it continues to be an insult to my dad’s memory because of the CONFIDENTIAL file. Pedro assured me today, March 12th, that he will insert a note. The location of my dad’s burial spot will be disclosed to anyone searching for it. I hope this helps my dad rest a little better.PS:Thank you for your reply. I feel so much relief that you confirmed my understanding of a confidential file. Hope you took measures to educate for sales force so this does not happen again. Grief is hard enough without having to deal with the fine print on a contract. Have a nice day.

C'est jamais de gaieté de cœur qu'on se retrouve dans un tel lieu de réunion, et bien que j'ai l'impression qu'il est grand temps de tout réinventer, globalement, au départ d'un être cher, notons que l'endroit est bien tenu, personnel professionnel, et cette brillante idée de couvrir les murs blancs de quelques centaines de souvenirs ;-)Finalement, c'est bien, voire essentiel, d'offrir une salle de jeu, mais il faut alors s'en occuper avec plus grand soin...
