Garneau/University Early Learning Centre

GUELC has been my children's daycare for the past 3 years and it is a really wonderful place. The kids have access to their own playground and the school's gym and field. They spend a ton of time outside in nature. The teachers are all wonderful and with very little turnover. GUELC has a Reggio Emillia philosophy so has a child-led and inquiry-based learning approach. Each month has a learning theme that incorporates the kids' interests (space, insects) through curriculum including art, music and movement. My kids have learn so much being here and love it.

GUELC has been exceptional at stewarding the growth and development of our son. The program is a Reggio Emilia inspired and the teachers are skilled at designing a curriculum that inspires curiosity and fosters a greater understanding of key concepts. Our son joined the program during the pandemic in Sept of 2020, and has attended the Wonder Room and the Discovery Room. They managed to keep the students safe with increased hygiene protocols. With student's safety at the forefront, this program has created a successful and safe learning environment.I would highly recommend this program to anyone looking for an early learning centre for their child. They successfully integrate outdoor time and indoor learning centres - and the staff are very knowledgable and skilled in early education. They create a comfortable environment - and from the first day, our son entered the school - which was unknown to him and everyone was masked - he felt instantly comfortable. This is due to the warm and inviting nature of the team of teachers assembled. This program has a long history of serving the community.The teachers work closely with the parents to provide a collaborative learning environment that is supported at home.

They do not answer emails and do not provide any spot and do not return your wait list fee

GUELC has been a life changer. We are very fortunate to count with such devoted, loving and professional staff.

Great centre, staff, and experience for our kids. The centre is in the Garneau school, couldn't be more conveniently located. Currently no wait list.

Don't waste your money on wait list fee. I paid back in 2020 and it's now 2023. My 4 year old was not offered a spot but they also do not answer my emails or provide updates... why are they taking wait list fees if they provide no services???Look elsewhere for your childcare... the waitlist is a pure money grab. BEWARE
