Onion River Outdoors
Took my bike in unexpectedly after a pedal failure to see if the mechanics could assist with the repair since the pedal threads on the crank were stripped. Despite this being their busiest season, they managed to squeeze my repairs in and did a fantastic job at a very reasonable price. Very happy with this shop!

An awesome outfit! The bikeloud.org crew limped in on their beat up bikes after a punishing two days in the rain, across dirt roads, three states and App Gap just the day before the holiday. Despite rolling in unannounced, the crew at ORO set aside their lunches and work to get the crew back on the road. With a tight timeline and a lot of miles left to finish our journey these guys made it happen for us. They worked on our bikes for four solid hours making sure we would be able to finish the trip. A class act all around, thank you guys. We're happy to say the trip concluded successfully and we made it all the way to Quoddy with your help.

This is the place to go for all things backcountry. Awesome attention to detail in getting my rather unique Telemark setup squared away. As someone who works in the outdoor industry, the best thing I can say is that for a small shop, they carry the gear I would actually use. Highly recommend.

Onion River Outdoors
I rented a gravel bike from Onion River over Memorial Day weekend 2023 and had a great experience with them. The rental I got was super nice (a brand-new Salsa) and they only charged me for one day even though I had it for nearly 48 hours. Great service and an easy location with some parking.

We rented gravel bikes from onion river this past weekend. From the very firs phone call yo ask about reserving the bikes, the staff was friendly and helpful. Once we arrived at the store, they were attentive and flexible - they helped by installing different pedals in one of our bikes. They also recommended a great gravel route . I highly recommend this place!

Bought my snowshoes from Onion River years ago. Used the heck out of them and loved them. Last winter the crampon broke on one of them. The folks at ORO found spare parts (the manufacturer doesn't make my model anymore) downstairs and fixed them for a very fair price. I am super happy with the service but also very happy I can continue to use my snowshoes - thank you!

Shout out to Kyle at Onion River. He was friendly, attentive, qualified. He fixed our bike hitch problem. He attempted to lubricate the problem part but when it didn't work, he was able to find a new one & set it in place.

Just purchased a fantastic mountain bike from ORO. The process took several weeks, as the high demand made it tough to find the right bike, fit, color I was looking for. Every time a new bike arrived at Onion River's store, their helpful staff called me directly to notify me, and would even hold it for me up to 24hrs. After several arrivals, and trials, the third bike they ordered was finally the right fit and color I was looking for. A+ customer service the whole way. Overall it was a fantastic experience and the recommendations for best performance were much appreciated. This customer service is what makes them a cardinal part of the Montpelier community.
