Kumon Math and Reading Centre of Markham – Warden & Steeles

I would like to recommend this place to anyone who loves their kids and want them to improve. They are very understanding and willing to help. Thanks for the great service.

There are a few problems with this particular Kumon Centre, the biggest one is poor communications. I understand the need to communicate in an unofficial language when the majority of your students are of the same ethnic/linguistic group but the owner should make an effort to make sure other students are not left out, our child felt students at the same level as her received more support because often they would communicate with the tutor in a different language. Poor communications also come in the form of lack of feedback, we received very vague feedback when discussing our child's progress in person, written communication was next to none. This was in stark contrast to previous management's effort in this area. The Kumon Method" may be unique but it only works with the right team of staff that is committed to work with each student on their developmental needs. We can live with all the small issues

I like how the center is very hygienic and follows COVID procedures well. The instructor, Grace, and other people who work there are nice.

My son started Kumon math learning at Markham Milliken Kumon center 2yrs ago. I can see big improvement from him. He has good habit now, he manages to practice everyday without my reminding. He knew he became better on math as well so he is willing to take his time to practice on daily basis. Grace is very patient and always provide kind advises and support! Grace, thank you for sharing me with my daughter regarding her milestone of G-by-4. Much appreciated you guided her to learn step by step, I still remembered that she did the test at your center two years ago. I also remembered that she pointed to an award that she wanted at the annual student award ceremony. With two years of consistency, she learned so much from the Kumon program and much more confidence. Now she is getting closer and closer to her dream. Especially during the Pandemic period, she did not stop learning for a single day. Every day has improved a little bit, with two years, that's a little bit means a lot.
