I am delighted to share my experience with the Ladysmith Veterinary animal hospital that provided exceptional care to my son's dog Rossco for an ear infection. From the moment we walked into the hospital, we felt welcomed and reassured that our pet was in good hands.The staff at the Ladysmith Animal hospital were extremely professional, knowledgeable, and caring. They listened attentively to our concerns and thoroughly explained the treatment options available for our pet. They took the time to answer all our questions and ensured that we were comfortable with the course of treatment.The veterinary team was skilled and efficient, and they went above and beyond to provide the best care possible for our pet. The facilities were modern, clean, and well-maintained, which gave us peace of mind knowing that our pet was in a safe and comfortable environment.The follow-up care provided by the hospital was exceptional. The staff regularly checked on our pet's progress, and they were always available to answer any questions or concerns we had.Overall, we were thoroughly impressed with the level of care and attention . They truly went above and beyond to ensure that our pet received the best care possible. We would highly recommend this hospital to anyone looking for top-notch veterinary care for their beloved pet.

This animal hospital has been a God-send for my family and our cat. They are really devoted to their patients to the point of staying open late to help my cat and then barely charging us for the visit. The receptionists are really kind and helpful and it's a relief to be able to call and have someone answer right away. This is a rave.When people ask for veterinary recommendations, I always suggest Ladysmith Animal Hospital because of the great care they show my border collie x who is diabetic.We also had a border collie that never needed their services (only met her at drop off of our other) as we knew that at 13 years 7 months, besides a growth/tumor that would eventually cause her pain, she was happy. When the time came that our girl was in pain, it was outside of the hospital hours and we took her elsewhere to put her down.The compassion they showed us when our other girl needed something to help with her mourning was amazing then today we received a sympathy card for the loss.If you want a caring and compassionate Vet and staff, this is the place to take your first baby.

Truly the best vet in the area. Really love animals and it shows. We tried another vet in the area when we first moved here and they acted like it was a chore just to look at our pets. This animal hospital is full of kind and compassionate animal lovers and we are very happy to bring our dogs and cats here.

Disrespectful office staff. They were willing to let my dog suffer because the vet was having too much trouble dealing with doggies on a Tuesday. Sadly only clinic in Ladysmith. Gotta drive to Nanaimo or Duncan.

I have been coming here since I moved from Ontario in 2006. Most of the time my animals were looked after by Dr. Jerome who was the epitome of caring and professional treatment. It was also heartening to see most of the same front office staff and technicians which indicated a well managed business. However, for the last few years, I hardly recognize the place. There has been a huge turnover in staff and I hardly recognize anybody. I seem to get a different vet. each time. Even though they have the files, it is not the continuity which gives me as much confidence.After some research, I now know that this clinic is now owned by Mars!!Mars is a US conglomerate best known for manufacturing Candy aka junk food. The location is perfect and so far the service is OK but I have to ask myself if a company such as this really has the health of pets uppermost as its goal. I am not planning any immediate changes but am on alert.

Was a customer for years with several animals. Called today and apparently the new phone staff was exceptionally irritated by my existence. She was so rude, I lost my cool. Some dude-bro got on the line when I asked to have my records transfered elsewhere and he got all gas-lighty. Rather than take responsibility for her unprofessionalism, he got accusatory. I suppose with the vet shortage, staff think they're invincible and can be as rude as they want. I don't know what happened to the regulars but do not bother going here, they don't appreciate the $$ you spend. I'm happy to spend it at a vet with professional staff, NOT Ladysmith VCA.

I am an adopted 1-yr dog and had my first visit to a vet for a examination and vaccinations since I was a baby. I was a little nervous as was my new caregiver. But thanks to Vet and her staff, it was pleasant experience.
