Sunrise Records

A mixed bag in my experience. Lots of cool items in here besides music and some really good box sets behind the counter. As with anywhere, some prices are very competitive while some are not. I came in one day with a list of CD's that I was looking for and they did not even have one thing that was on my list. Two items they said that they could get and that they were on order, so I gave them my name and phone number and still did not hear a peep two weeks later. I like to support physical media and bricks and mortar stores where possible but I could have had the items that I wanted from Amazon within two days. And Amazon also has some of the stuff that this store could not get for me. I will say however that the staff themselves were helpful. Overall I would say that this place is worth visiting but keep your expectations in check.

I went to sunrise records and the lady that works there was very rude. I’ve never had that problem from other sunrise stores. They were normally really good. Store really good but poor staff hope they’re not all like that.

Good selection of cds dvds and blu-rays

When I went to return something, the manager opened it up and looked at each disc as if I was there to rip him off or something. Product was perfectly good and new and bought only a day before.

I was very happy to see that there was this place in Kingsway Garden Mall. I have never seen this store before. They sell DVD'S (movies), cd's, T-shirts and some other things. I was happy to see a store that sells all the above as most stores that sell the above have closed down. The staff were friendly and appear to be knowledgeable. I bought 2 DVD'S for $22.00 which was a pretty good deal. Thank you Sunrise Records for opening a store.

I visited this location last Sunday and I have to say the service was outstanding. I bought a poster and the nice lady said that she had something in her back room that I might be interested in. She returned with 2 more posters that was related to the first poster that I got and she gave them to me. We continued to talk she was very knowledgeable about and helpful about the things I was interested in. Well done and thank you again. I wish I would have got her name.

Popped in and found a couple cool funko pops to add to my collection! Staff were friendly and made sure to offer any help necessary.

I was sad to see HMV go since it was a big part of my music education, but boy am I glad these guys took over. I like the blend of collectables and music with a heavy vinyl presence. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable, I've been able to find great hidden gems. I also love that they carry local music as well.

I generally love Sunrise Records as a whole, but the last four times I've entered this particular location, I've been met with blaring death metal, and a staff that is indifferent at best. Will definately be shopping at other locations for my purchasing needs.
