Montfort Mediterranean Grill - Upper James
We came on Good Friday and it was a lack lustre experience. Took 15 minutes at least to get our drinks order taken and we were literally the only people in the entire place. The food was good waaaaaaay over priced for the tiny size portions we received. We felt like we had gotten kid size meals, in fact some of our plates were tiny, like kid size. All 4 of us left hungry and stopped on the way home for Mcdonalds. Based on this, i will never go back.

Ordered via Uber eats and was probably the most disappointed I’ve been with a food order to date. We ordered the Greek fries which were undercooked and over priced. They were still practically white like they just came out of the freezer. It says it comes with feta which was kind of laughable, it was just sprinkled with the smallest crumbs I’ve ever seen and for 12$, the container was 3/4 empty. If it wasnt on promotion, I would have been very upset. Then again with the shawarma…. There was barely any meat (probably a 10/90% split meat to rice). Luckily I had my own ground beef cooked in the fridge that I warmed up and put on top. Incredibly disappointing. Still kinda mad I spent 35$ on this.

I joined a colleague there for lunch. The food was great, it was flavorful and timely. Server was polite, professional and knowledgeable. Great value for money. Will definitely be back.

Food was great, I wanted to try as much as I could being my first time there so I got the mixed grill for 1 (picture attached) which was montfort chicken, chicken shawarma, pork souvlaki, kafta, homefries and a salad.I enjoyed them all. Ample parking, very helpful and friendly service. Lots of seating.

Great place for a great meal. I had the Montfort chicken,,,fantastic. Our server was always smiling and good at her job. I've been to alot of restaurants and my drink of choice is chocolate milk,,,look at this beauty they gave me. I'll go back again.

I went to this location and I have gone many times before. The restaurant is defiantly a bit dated inside and needs some major renovations. The washrooms are in bad condition and need cleaning and renovations. This is both male and female washrooms. The layout and dining area has not changed in over 10 years.Staff was nice but barely come around. Would have been nice to ask if we needed anything. No pop refills which is completely different from Montforts in Oakville and Brant st. The beer was good.The food at Montforts is good. If you look at the plate and we how many onion rings you get vs other Montforts please take note. The Montfort chicken was dry. The Swarma was good. Overall there was some room for improvement. The restaurant will be quiet if it’s not improved.I’ll leave the rating as is and I’ll visit some other time to see if things get better. For now I’ll stick with the Brant st location.

Waitress was friendly and had a amazing singing voice (sang happy birthday) which was very nice of her. Food was good but for the price you don't get a whole lot. Prices was roughly $15+ for each plate

We had good service but in this case, service isn’t enough. The restaurant sells food for high prices without the quality you’d expect. The food was cooked properly but everything was very bland. No taste what so ever. I brought my entire family here and I was so disappointed with the food we all received. If you’re going here for the first time, just avoid it because you’ll be disappointed.. I’m confused as to how they’ve racked up a 4 star rating. Plus there was a tremendous amount of flies in the restaurant hanging around on the walls and flying around the food. Not a good experience and I won’t be returning.

I would go to the Ancaster location instead which is less than 10 mins away. The quality and quantity here have gone downhill. The lamb is over cooked and there is no salt or flavor in most of the food. Salad dressings are also measly and can barely taste them.

The meal was SO expensive for what I received. 40$ for chicken and rice with a tiny helping of “salad” if you can call it that. That was without a drink. The service was not good and we had to use the machine OURSELVES. Also within 20 minutes our stomachs were extremely upset and sick. Do not waste your time or money. Ridiculous.
