Great way to exercise and also to get down the mountain !

These stairs are great, I've been going for over 20 years as part of my daily run. I appreciate that everyone wants to enjoy the nice weather but please, if you're going in a large group with kids, pets etc, be mindful of those who are there to workout. Stopping on the landings and checking behind you to see if someone wants to pass would be considerate. It's frustrating when regulars who endure all 4 seasons at the stairs have our workouts hindered in the months when there's beautiful weather.

A total of 289 steps. Steel structure, divided in the middle so people go up on the right and come down on the left. Easily accessible by road or bike...There is bike sharing point at bottom of the stairs opposite to a golf pro shop and an eatery ( not sure if it is open or not). I saw young energetic people running up and down the stairs for training, very effective. Bottom and top of the stairs both connect to side trails off Bruce Trail. Great view of Hamilton all along the trails. Top of stairs is on Scenic Drive so it is a favourite site for locals and visitors. Drivers may want to check parking spots first as most roads do not allow roadside parking, and pay parking is the norm in many parking lots.

Best place to go for morning walk

It was a good not too steep set of stairs less than 300 steps. Quite popular especially on sunny weekend days.

Super cute place and definitely recommend for a hike. It also joins the bruce path which is the way to go forever haha. We could get to the middle fall but the road to the top fall wasn't easy so you better to be prepared.

Very nice stairs, nice scenic views too! As well, these stairs have a little spot to roll a bike so that you dont have to lift it all the way up or down!
