Leguano

Owner was very knowledgeable on barefoot shoes and the benefits. Tried on a pair with the intention of thinking about it, but got them on the spot. Have not worn any other pair since. Most shoes would be showing some wear but these seem to be very high quality. Could not be happier and will never buy another pair of cheap shoes again. Seem like great cottage / water shoes as well. Do your feet a favor and try them out!

We went to the store for the second time in two weeks, all our questions were answered to our satisfaction. I have been investigating barefoot running & Leguano picqued my interest. I tried on a pair & knew these were the the shoe for me. On our second visit Bob tried on a pair & was sold. Honestly we bought them this afternoon & we don't want to take them off.

Leguano shoes are pretty incredible products and the staff are beyond helpful. There's also an area where you can walk on Lego, rocks, even glass if I remember correctly to prove the protective capabilities of the shoes.

Great small store for those interested in shoeless footware. Nice variety, with a very helpful lady ( Angela ) In the heart of Lakefield Ontario. Look for the yellow building.

I was visiting a friend in Pickering Ont and noticed her shoes. I said they're cute. Turns out they were two yrs old. She said let's go to Lakefield to check them out. 1.5 hr drive one way. Awesome experience with Leslie and Peter. We walked out with a pair for each of us plus one for her husband and grandson. The grandson and I (65) wore ours out of store and wore them until bedtime.

At the moment, my shoes are only one years old and a tear in the material appeared and is growing larger everyday. The owner asked me to drive all the way to the store only to have his assistant tell me from sending a picture to the manufacturer that they will not replace it. The owner didn't even call me and avoided the conversation altogether.

I live several hours from this store, so I called and asked if I could buy a pair of shoes over the phone. The person was very helpful and friendly. Will definitely go back when I need my next pair of barefoot shoes!

These shoes get an A+ from this professor.I am updating my review after three years of experience with these shoes. My original pair is well-worn and almost treadbare after three years of nearly constant use. I have a pair of their winter boots that I have comfortably worn through a full Canadian winter, and am looking forward to slipping into again in a few months. They came out with a line of fancier suede models that I frequently wear to my lectures or other places where I feel like dressing up a bit. These are amazing shoes.And my feet ... strong and healthy. I do not need the expensive orthotics that were recommended to me just a few short years ago.ORIGINAL POST:I have been wearing these barefoot shoes for about a month now, and see no need to ever go back to a conventional shoe. In the same day I went backwoods hiking, rock climbing (on a waterfall), beach running and more, and never felt more comfortable. I can feel enough of the terrain beneath my feet to respond to any changes, but am not at all worried about hurting my feet when arch-gripping on a sharp rock ledge that would slice a bare foot open. I am already planning to buy a more posh-looking shoe for work (but have still been lecturing in the ones I have anyhow).

The store is cute, they have the shoes I like and carry my size which is never easy to find. Five star service!
