Chartwell Kingsville Retirement Residence

Our 96 year old mother is approaching her first year anniversary of residing at Chartwell Kingsville Retirement Home after having lived in her own home. She is happy, comfortable and well-cared for. The Chartwell employees are not only kind and compassionate but often go above and beyond to treat our mom like she is their only concern. As family members we are often visiting and see first hand the high quality of care and attention given to not only our mom but to all the residents. The welcoming dining area provides a social atmosphere and a varied menu which is flexible given mom's tastes. The grounds are well tended with nice landscaping and a wide walkway path around the building. The facility is bright and clean and often nicely decorated for the season. Mom always enjoys the large foyer where there is a large fireplace, a grand piano and a fountain. As family members we are confident in knowing that she is not only happy at Chartwell Kingsville, but we also know that she has access to 24 hour nursing, a readily accessible emergency call necklace, portering services, and medication dispensing if she wanted. Chartwell is also more than happy to tailor a plan for any other specific needs mom might have. Any concerns or requests by our mom have always been dealt with promptly and efficiently. We have found all the staff (including the manager, head nurse, waitstaff, kitchen management, housekeeping, PSWs, and maintenance) to be approachable and willing to work with us for the best interests of our mom.

I will never be able to fully express my gratitude to Chartwell - Retirement Residence -Kingsville, Ontario for their kindness shown to my Dad. Knowing that my Dad was being cared as if he was part of each staff member's family was incredible over the last 1 1/2 years.Now that Dad has moved over to Chartwell - Royal Oak Long Term Care Residence – Kingsville, Ontario; my appreciation of this company has only grown more. Dad was made at home as soon as he entered Royal Oak Long Term Care Residence. The staff assisted me with all the needed paperwork, answering all my questions. The Management and Staff of Chartwell Retirement Residence on Main Street in Kingsville are so courteous, professional and accommodating. I have asked them a ton of questions and they have always answered them in a timely fashion and make you feel like you are their number one priority. My Mom has lived here since April 1st and absolutely loves it! The food is excellent with a balanced menu. Her suite is lovely and very clean. There's always something to do with planned activities, musical guests and day trips. Having a loved one here brings peace of mind to all family involved. I would not hesitate referring Chartwell Kingsville to anyone looking for an exceptional retirement home!

On several occasions our family have visited our Aunt and Uncle at Chartwell Kingville. All staff, the administration, nurses, cook or cleaning staff are nothing short of amazing. They all, have always been courteous and helpful to anyone who walks in their doors. There is not another retirement residence that we could see our Aunt and Uncle at.

I LOVE Chartwell Kingsville. My 90 year old mom moved to Kingsville with us in June 2020. Yes she moved in during the pandemic and we knew it was the right move. She loves it there and is very, very happy. The decor is beautiful throughout, and they make all special occasions very special. She loves having her meals and laundry done, and the activities. And she particularly loves her independence and going to Zehrs which is right next door where she can get anything she wants. There is also a close TD Bank that she goes to. Best of all is the staff, they are truly amazing and heroes during the pandemic. If you want to check this residence out, contact Savannah, she was amazing throughout. She was so wonderful to deal with and got us through the difficulty of moving mom in during the pandemic. We always felt mom was safe and that the staff were doing everything they could to make sure of that. All the staff are fantastic, but big shout outs to Jacinta, Jackie, Connie, Joey and of course Savannah! Recently my father stayed for two weeks (short term stay), and we were very impressed overall. The staff went above and beyond to make sure that Dad was safe, supported and happy. He enjoyed all of the meals on a daily basis. Staff took the time to chat with my dad and we were in awe of the cleanliness of this retirement home. The residents that reside there were also very pleasant and friendly. Do not hesitate to use this facility. As far as we are concerned, it is top notch"!"

My father has been a resident at Chartwell Kingsville for a year and a half. We have been most appreciative of the care he gets. The staff are wonderful and genuinely care about the resident and look after their needs. The activities that are offered will appeal to a variety of interests. The location in Kingsville is great. Near all amenities.

Chartwell Kingsville has been my mother’s home for almost 3 years now! Everyone here has been so kind to my Mom as well as myself and my husband. This past year has been very challenging for everybody, the staff have remained vigilant in their fight to combat COVID 19, with cleaning and sanitizing and social distancing. Jacinta Colasanti is always keeping us up to date with changes to keep the residents and family as well as the staff healthy. Recently my Mother’s dementia has made her combative at times and often uncooperative but the staff handles the situation with professionalism and they remain kind and jovial. Stephanie at the front desk is always easy to talk to and efficient in her efforts to help. I am pleased with all the staff, from the cleaning staff to the kitchen staff and the nursing staff. Right now my Mom is in the safest place she could be.

Other than her own home, there is no where I would rather my mom be, than Chartwell Kingsville.  From our very first encounter with Savannah, the staff have been nothing but welcoming, caring and professional. Everyone from the general manager amd nursing staff through housekeeping and maintenance staff have been top notch.  Moving a parent into a home is extremely stressful for all, amd especially so during a pandemic.  The staff went over and above to make mom (and her family!) feel comfortable and able to settle in well, and that has continued ever since.  If you are searching for a residence that will treat your loved ones with respect and dignity, while giving you peace of mind that they are well cared for but keep a good sense of independence,  this is your answer.

We’re so impressed with the Staff at Chartwell Kingsville who are very pleasant, kind and accommodating to the Residents and family members. The lines of communication are always open and replies are always prompt. As essential caregivers, my sister and I are always kept in the loop which is both comforting and reassuring. We’re very pleased that our Mother chose to become a Resident at this Chartwell Facility.
