It's a great little Museum and around this time of year it's free for the kids! A nice little ww2 exhibit is there now too.

Elman W. Campbell Museum
The Elman W. Campbell Museum is the place. Did you know that Elman W. Campbell had a store on Main Street that sold find china and knick knacks......I worked there as a young girl, amazing place with a scary basement. Newmarket has more history that you can imagine. Check out the Newmarket Historical Society website (newmarkethistoricalsociety.ca) for more details.

Beautiful 1884 architecture built on top of a hill on historic Main Street to accomodate settlement in the upper York county.

Good nice museum with little city flavor. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Learnt some interesting facts about city. For example why it is called Newmarket.

Great little place. Considering their size I didn’t expect much but it’s a great suppose seeing how much they have, and how well displays are set up. Really enjoyed the D-Day section, many artifacts well displayed and put together well

Elman W. Campbell Museum
First time visiting this museum for kids harvest event. The staff and volunteers arranged some mini games which tour the kids around the museum and learnt about the historical life.
