Nectar Yoga Retreat

A real island gem! This well appropriated retreat is so well crafted! The location on Bowen island is in a 20acre forest and instantly transforms you into a place of meditative repose.The cabins are modern, comfortable and much thought has been put into all the amenities to keep you comfortable including beautiful outdoor showers!The yoga dome where mediation and yoga is offered is at a level for anyone to enjoy and they provide mats and all accesories.New this year is a private hot tub that guests sign up for their own private sessions.The one meal a day provided is healthy and plentiful, keeps you sated till dinner at your leisure in Bowen.Love coming here, this was my second visit and I will be back.Staff is lovely and the owner/operator is involved at all levels and oh so genuine.

The owner mom gave us the orientation and she was absolutely unprofessional . We paid for the room and she told us what to do and not do in the room especially in the atic room because they don't have enough housekeeping to keep it clean. She also told us not to remove things from the room . Her comments were way out of line . The place and yoga is great but the management has to do more for the welcome orientation. Also , except for the morning Yoga and breakfast there is nothing else to do on the nectar property . They should have multiple yoga session a day and maybe some other activities for yoga retreat . I hope the owners will take this feedback and improve on their welcome process and add more daily activities to make the experience worth it .On another note , All yoga teachers , Sarah, Andrea and Kat are great

This was my fourth trip to Nectar Yoga but my first to the new location. The cottages are beautifully decorated and equipped with everything you could possibly need, including incredibly comfortable beds. The lodge is an inspiring and relaxing space where guests gather each morning for a delicious vegetarian breakfast. Yoga in the dome is a uniquely beautiful experience that will stay with you long after you leave this stunning property. Much gratitude to Andrea and everyone at Nectar for creating an unforgettable weekend.

I stayed here at the beginning of spring and it was the best gift I could do to myself. The place Is just peaceful and beautiful, I loved having a room in the lodge so we could enjoyed the living room as much as we wanted. I also loved the yoga meditation session. Both are just so meaningful practiced together in the beautiful dome. Thanks to all the instructors!

Nectar Yoga Retreat has been in my bucket list for a few years, and I’m so glad that I finally had a stay here. Everything is just as great as I’d imagined. Overall, the facility is clean & well-organized (the most important factor to me whenever I choose a place to stay), aesthetic, functional, and has a serenity vibe. The single room is small and cozy, super comfy, perfect for solo traveller. Common area has everything we need for a short stay. Yoga class is suitable for beginners like me, not too hard but also not too easy. Everyone is friendly and nice, including staff and guests. This is definitely the best place to slow down, disconnect and re-connect. I really enjoy my stay at Nectar and will be back!Bonus: their shampoo works wonder for my hair! It made my hair so soft and clean for a few days, even better than expensive shampoo at Sephora.

I am a 4 time returning guest to this beautiful sanctuary. Nectar is truly a hidden gem. Andrea and her team have cultivated a perfectly balance place between old traditions of yoga and nature with new approaches. Everything is so well thought out and it feels like home. I always enjoy the delicious chia pudding and baked goods for breakfast. Just a short trip from Vancouver, but you feel like you have been transported to a far peaceful hideaway. I am equally impressed on every visit. The classes are amazing and for all levels.

This is my first time on Bowen island as well as at Nectar. I booked it for myself, it’s a little getaway from my kid also to celebrate my birthday in June. It is such a lovely place. The moment I arrived, I felt the right energy in this place. My room is super nice and beautiful. It has everything I needed and I love the smell of all products in the room. Andrea gave us a warm and inspiring orientation. I have also met with the other amazing women from all over the world. It’s not in my plan, but it’s nice. I also enjoy the meditation and yoga sessions. The breakfast is great as well. I feel my energy has been fulfilled at this magical place. I will come back with a friend next time. I've enjoyed a Nectar Yoga experience twice now. The first time I went as a solo traveller and stayed in one of the fantastic A-frame cottages. This time I took my Mom and it was even better to have been able to share this beautiful place with her. The cottages (both types) are beautiful, thoughtfully designed and have everything you could possibly need. Breakfast is amazing and Andrea and Sara provided excellent approachable yoga instruction that can suit any level. I highly recommend Nectar Yoga as an experience itself but also a wonderful way to visit Bowen Island!

I have attended a few retreats at Nectar and am still blown away every time! I leave each retreat feeling refreshed, at peace, and connected.Andrea, Sat, and their team have put so much effort into this retreat space and it really shows!Can’t wait to book my next one!
