Jim Green Residence Complex Care

Owned by the City of Vancouver and run by the Lookout Society. It's a clean and well maintained. It's a residence for people 55+ and people with disabilities. Like all essentials in Vancouver there is a waiting list. It's managed by the Lookout Society of Vancouver.

There very helpful for those in need

This is a great place to live and there is a long wait list to move here but it is worth it and the staff is excellent and with great support for people with mental health and addictions

Probably the best subsidized housing facility in the Eastside. Minimal interference from staff, decent laundry facilities, and large, spacious full fledged apartments with enclosed patios. It doesn't get any better

Only ever visit a friend but from what ive seen its not to bad of a place people are usually quite and keep to themselves.

Used to be a decent building. Went from independent living to care facility style living courtesy of the government and local health authority catering to the wrong crowd. Tough now for seniors and disabled veterans who are in need of affordable housing in this building.

I have several different friends that reside in the apartment. Most of the residence and staff are pretty friendly but like any place there are some bad apples. Its for sure one of the nicest buildings to live, in the downtown East side low income area. All the apartments are a one bedroom with full kitchen and living room and bathroom. The building is kept up nicely and well taken care of. Although it's a nice place to live, its really strictly for adults with disabilities. No children.

The building itself is fairly well kept. There used to be issues with bed bugs etc. however recent changes in the past couple of years have seen the building management and team make great efforts to purge all pests as is possible from the building. Recent additions have been a video screen buzzer for all residents as well as a redone living room lobby area. I wish there were 4.5 stars on here(there's always room for improvement) as the only other possible upgrade would be for basic internet wifi throughout the building. It is a fairly new building and from the residents I know there, security upgrades help them feel safer and happier. Way to go lookout team!!
