The owner/manager is really cool! He is so friendly and welcoming when you come in and has great suggestions for wines that you may not have considered before!He knows his stuff and takes a great keen interest in making sure that you leave his shop with exactly what you want and need. Most liquor stores have staff that have zero interest in interacting with the customers.The selection of wines and alcohol here reflects what you will see on the menus in the restaurants in the area so now you can enjoy the same great tastes of The Living Room or Hana Sushi without the surcharge!I feel good about supporting this local business in Calgary for sure!

Extremely overpriced. Cheapest bottle of wine is $18 plus tax, at superstore liquor store I can get the same wine percentage and a variety of flavours for $7-9$. On the other hand, I wasn’t surprised to see some reviews about the treatment towards girls, I was flirted with everytime, I went , my own friends even pointed it out to me. Made me feel uncomfortable everytime , and whoever the guy was, wouldn’t even call me by my Ukranian name olena (since I’m adopted legally it was changed to my middle name , but usually when I explain this to people even people who work for the government or CRA, they easily can adapt to that and call me olena) and on top of that. I like girls. They are open till 2 AM and that’s the only positive

Very rude and unwelcoming. The only reason I went in here the last couple times was that other stores in the area were closed. I'll just make sure to get liquor when the other stores are open from now on. Better prices too!

They used to give a discount to people that live in the building where they are located, and that compensated for the way overpricing so I was ok paying the same as everywhere else. When the all of a sudden stopped giving the discount, I started going for the 5 minute walk to the other store where they treat people with kindness and dignity.When I go I to this store now they treat me like garbage like they are entitled and privelaged. I recommend going to the 4th st liquor store around the corner and one block up, where they are great staff and way cheaper. Even though they are a touch more convenient, they're not good people and only care about themselves, Instead of the customer they are serving!!!

Went there tonight and Joey helped me. SUPER nice, even helped bring my purchase to my car!!Love supporting local businesses that appreciate it!I have to add that everyone that works there is soo kind and helpful.Everyone is so friendly!!People complaining about the prices need to understand that this is a LOCAL business NOT a franchise. The extra few dollars is how they make their money! Plus when is the last time you got actual help from someone when buying alcohol? I’m from BC and never in a BC LIQUOR store has anyone ever given me any customer service.Plus it doesn’t hurt that ‘the guys ain’t ugly’ lol ;)

I order through Skip here & there and visit in person. Small, local business with great service and competitive pricing. They will take the time on a Skip order to call if they need to adjust your order & always go above and beyond. Really impressed with their commitment to their customers. Thanks!

They certainly have a good selection for a downtown liquor store, and the walk in cooler is great for cold beer, but some items here are grossly overpriced. On my last visit, for 12x650ml Sapporo cans, I paid $71.88 before tax and deposit, $77 total. I understand these are larger cans (equivalent to 22 standard beers), but the same volume can be had elsewhere for under $50, and the same king cans can be had elsewhere for $3.90ea ($51 pre-tax). Overall, good selection aside, I felt that the prices for some products are too high, even for a downtown store.
