Very spacious and very quiet throughout. Lots of natural light, but not a terribly great view on the bottom floor; the area with the little pool and art display seems rather dull. The staff are quite helpful and friendly.Very clean the times I've been here.Very easy going up and down the floors. The middle area looks nicer the higher you go.I really wish there were more power outlets by the seating areas on the side, where I can study in a separated booth. These seats are very isolating and calming, however I cannot spend much time there because I cannot access power outlets there. On the ground floor, I have tried several times to access the small isolated rooms for study groups, which requires booking, and they are almost always all filled, whether or not they are booked by the people in them.

I love studying here in the summer because it's quiet and not crowded. The temperature, however, makes studying a challenge. The air conditioning is cranked up so high that I recommend you bring a jumper or a heating blanket. I'm currently wearing a hoodie in Scott and I'm still uncomfortably chilly and it's 24 degrees outside with 70% humidity. (July 18.19). Bundle up folks!

Good library but their entry policies at the moment are ridiculous. I didn't have my ID with me and despite not needing an appointment anymore, they still insist you need ID to enter! I completed the sign in form, which you need to use your Passport York account for, and even that wasn't enough to prove I am a York student. As far as I know, only York students can have a Passport York account!

Generally a quiet and tidy place to study. There is plenty of space for both collaborative study and individual study, though spaces for the latter (located on the upper floors) fill up fast. It can be difficult to find seating during exam periods, but the quiet atmosphere makes it one of the best places on campus for uninterrupted study.

Does a decent job in adjusting a big population of York. Obviously it can’t take more students in. You can always find a spot for one to two persons, but for group study good luck finding one.

dirty as hell. more often than not you'll see students sit on the floor to study cause it's impossible to secure a seat during exam season. sad to see that this school just wants $$$ and takes too many students but fails to give them proper facilities to study.i was given lots of attitude by some front desk full time employee when I simply wanted to borrow a reserve book.stay vigilant when you study alone. watch out for the loiterers that sometimes appear in the library.collection is decent tho.

Wish it opened for longer. It's nice but some places to look old. Does the job though.

One of the worst places to study during exam windows. The fifth floor of this place is sketchy, many unholy things have happened up there. You are better off finding an empty computer lab or empty lecture hall in some other building.
