My SO has been receiving a drug produced by Amgen/Novartis. When our drug plan reached its maximum, and the drug (because it is relatively new) was not qualified under the Ontario Drug Benefit program, and we were unable to afford the drug, we tried a 'hail mary' and called Novartis.(Almost) Unbelievably, they approved 3 months of the drug as a one time compassionate circumstance" - and within a week to boot!Wow. I can't speak highly enough for the compassion and care exhibited here. Novartis and Amgen DO care about people
