My whole family trains at Arashi-Do Edmonton East. Professor Neil and Coach Shannon are very friendly and knowledgeable. I love that their kids help instruct the children's classes so my kids have someone more their size to train with and look up to. I would recommend Arashi-Do Edmonton East to anyone of any age or fitness level who wants to learn new skills, get fit and have fun.

What impresses me the most about the instructors at Arashi-Do east is their attention to each and every student’s success. A great school if you are just starting out or have been training for years

A wonderful club! The space has two mats with lots of natural light. There's a huge emphasis on family here and a place for everyone at this club. They're great members of the community. Definitely check them out!

Great teachers, been coming here for a few years now. An amazing family friendly environment, with a great adult women's class. 10/10.

I've been training here for a few years and I have to say that it's been a life saver. I'm the fittest I've ever been in my life at the age of 33 and that's mostly due to me training jiu jitsu (I've lost over 12lbs, and haven't done much exercise outside of the classes). But just as important as the physical improvements in my life, so have been the mental improvements. The welcoming friendly environment at the gym established by the strong family presence of Professor Neil and his family are the best part of training here. There are many days where I've been very down, but once I got to the gym I would quickly forget about all of my problems. On the jiu-jitsu side, I have to say the instruction and curriculum is top tier. I've made incredible gains in my skill development in just a few short years. I don't compete, but I know professor and his family are at almost every tournament to support all of their students.I haven't been able to attend as many muy thai classes as I'd like to, but the classes I've attended have always been fun, challenging, and a great work out.If you're thinking about training, don't hesitate to come for their free trial. It's been one of the best decisions I've ever made for myself.

I initially brought my son here just to try to get him involved in something, but Jiu-jitsu ended up being his passion. Shannon and Neil are amazing at what they do, and they really care about the people who attend. I feel like they gave my son something invaluable that he will carry with him the rest of his life. I'm so grateful to them, and I know that any family who is lucky enough to be involved with this place will not regret it.

Hands down one of the best places to introduce your family to martial arts. From a clean, friendly and extremely welcoming environment. To knowledgeable instructors of various Martial Arts including; BJJ & MUAY THAI.Honestly their are not enough words to describe how great this place is.Both my kids love coming on Sundays, and we moved out to Spruce Grove, and yet we still come here vs anywhere else.Highly recommend this place to anyone who's looking to invest in a martial arts for themselves or their kids.

I love the women's class with Coach Shannon and Coach Tina! It's super inclusive and a great class for beginners! Everyone is super nice and you have a fantastic time and get a great workout. You also learn a lot about both self defense and Sport Jui Jitsu! I absolutely recommend coming and trying out the free trial!

My husband and I absolutely adore professor Neil and Shannon! Both of you are always so welcoming and patient with the two of us. They definitely do not make anyone feel awkward or silly for learning a martial arts at 30! Thank you so much for all you do for both my husband and myself!

I’ll start this review with the caveat that I don’t actually train at Arashi-Do East. I have however trained under Professor Neil at a different location for quite awhile. He is a very detailed and technical instructor who always took extra time outside of class to help with any questions or concerns I had, or even just to grab a beer with some of the students. He has also welcomed me into this brand new location for open mat several times even though I don’t train there. It’s a beautiful facility with high quality instruction, as well as a great community atmosphere for anyone who is looking for a place to train.
