SUSHI MAKING FOR THE SOUL
I got this class for my husband as a surprise bday gift. He loves to cook but never made sushi. This class was amazing. We learned a lot and we loved how Chef Sang allowed us to try each ingredient and understand how it plays a role in sushi-making. You can taste the superb quality of each ingredient, especially the wasabi and rice. Loved that he explained the background and history. Chef Sang cracked jokes, kept it a very light and fun atmosphere. Bonus: my husband won the sushi making competition! It was an overall great experience and would 100% recommend to all, even if you make sushi at home!

Me and my friend attended chef Sang class for the first time and we had such a wonderful time… chef Sang was very knowledgeable and thought us some background history and different ways of rolling sushi… honestly we had such a great time and would do it again! We also met some other wonderful people and made some friends! Even after class we had a great chat, talked about different foods and laughed alot! I would like to thank Jennifer and chef Sang for making our experience so memorable ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

What an experience! Chef Sang is not only hilarious and wildly entertaining, but he makes the sushi making experience warm and approachable for beginners. He was happy to share his knowledge, expertise, and experience with everyone. We had the best time and had a full class of wonderful people that made the experience all the better. Also, 10/10 wasabi!

Wow! Just wow! Chef Sang. I cannot believe you taught me how to make sushi over a zoom call. My gf Taylor and I loved every second of it. I usually like to give both the good and the bad but I just don't have any bad things to say about this experience!First off, the box of food and supplies was amazing. They were so well packed and fresh. The fish was fresh and tasted amazing! The veggies were picked perfectly but I have to talk about the avocado because that was my biggest worry. Cutting into that, it was perfect! 10/10Now with the video call. Chef Sang was so personable and well-spoken. He commented on everyone's videos and didn't leave anyone out. He was such a great teacher. I have never made sushi before and thought I would make a complete mess but by the pictures below, they came out perfectly. It was so fun to do and so simple with the help of Chef Sang. Also, before I forget, there is plenty of food in this box. We were so shocked. We bought for 2 but we gave a full plate to our neighbour so it didn't go to waste. This is a great experience and will be recommending this to everyone. Take a look at what we made and keep in mind, we never made sushi before.

Just did a virtual team event with Chef Sang Kim and it was beyond fantastic! With a large group, we all received a great kit delivered to our doors including everything you need from ingredients, kitchen tools and the chopsticks to eat your creations! Not only did Chef take the time to know about our team before the lesson, but the level of engagement felt so personalized. Chef provided so much knowledge, information and most importantly energy and charisma throughout the whole experience. After it was done, we all hit Slack uploading photos and commenting about how much fun we all had! As a holiday event, it felt really great to know that CanadaLife chose such a perfect local small business and additionally supporting Chef Sang Kim who helps hard-hit communities and families. Win / Win / Win / Win.Chef, Christmas sushi lesson with my kids? They loved what I made!

SUSHI MAKING FOR THE SOUL
Hi there! I reserved a spot yesterday with Chef Sang's Sushi Making for the Soul for my husband Raaj as his birthday present from me and our daughter and needless to say he had a blast! My husband loves sushi and he had an amazing time learning to make sushi and then eating the rolls!! Both Chef Sang and Jennifer went above and beyond to not only teach Raaj to make sushi but to plan and organize a surprise on his birthday- cake and all! He was touched by their kindness. 5 star rating is too little for all they did. Jennifer and Chef Sang also checked in this morning to make sure he got home safe since there was a storm last night. Outstanding service!

What a great night! Chef Sang was very organized, well spoken and humorous as he lead the group through the sushi making class. Learned a lot and made some great rolls (now can do it at home). Highly recommend for a great night out and an enjoyable experience!

SUSHI MAKING FOR THE SOUL
Chef Sang is excellent. However, the way the class is organized can be improved significantly. First, Chef Sang needs a helper. It was a challenge with Chef Sang being the only person handling 24 students. Second, Chef Sang did not demonstrate the sushi making personally. He walked around and talked us through it. It would have helped if he actually demonstrated it and the video was projected on to a large TV (since it is hard for 24 students to crowd around one person). Lastly, Chef Sang did not have sufficient ingredients. The class ran out of ingredients towards the end.

My 11 year old daughter and I had so much fun learning how to make sushi last night! I had some good laughs, both because Chef Sang is very funny and a great storyteller, but also because my daughter's little hands not always managed to make the most beautiful sushi rolls. :) On the other hand, she did a great job taking part as Sous Chef and helping the Chef out. I'd recommend this class to anyone!
