Club16 Bike Rentals

Tried to rent a tandem bike and a trail bike. First tandem bike they gave us had a broken seat, so they gave us another one. Second one had broken gears, so couldn't shift gears. The trail bike chain derailed after two minutes of riding. They clearly don't take care of their bikes properly. There are lots of other options for renting bikes. I wish we had used another company as what should have been a fun ride was a rather stressful ride given the broken bikes.

Amazing experience. We biked all around Stanley Park, over to Granville Island, back to Sunset Beach, and the shop. What a day. Everyone in the shop was awesome, too. Thank you!

The gym gets the job done but they need another leg press machine and fans for the treadmills since the USB ports don’t work so you can even bring your own fan.

This review is purely upon the service we experienced. We asked for a tandem bike. Paid for it and got on. Soon we realized the chains were broken. The staff didn't have any other tandem bikes. My wife couldn't ride on her own so we asked to get a refund since it wasn't our fault. We were travelling and wanted to make the best of our time, so the staff said that they would call us. The call never happened. The amount wasn't much but it was more about the principle. We wanted to ride a tandem bike, we had already paid, and all their bikes were broke. Least you would expect is a refund or a courtesy call to discuss some other compensation options. Certainly won't try them again.

Convenient location right at the harbor and they had a good price for the bike rental per hour - however, the bikes are not in great condition. My bike clicked with every rotation and the bikes were dirty and breaks squeaked. We complained and were told due to supply/covid they haven't been able to get new bikes - but it looks like they haven't been serviced thoroughly.

Nice shop! Yash has given excellent service. I will come back!

DO NOT RENT FROM HERE. On the off chance that you have any issues with your bike while on the trail, they will NOT come to help you. You will be left to your own devices to get the bike back to them. I got a flat tire along the ride and they refused to come retrieve the bike. Photo of credit card receipt from the rental to prove I was an actual customer speaking from experience.

If visiting a bike rental shop where arguing with customer service agents, receiving sub-par bikes and putting up an with inflexible pricing policy is your thing (e.g. if you go slightly over 2 hours they charge you for 4 hours) is your thing then be my guest.

Never rent a bike from here. I would give it a negative 5 rating if allowed. As previous reviews before we rented a bike to ride around the sea wall of Stanley Park. 15 minutes in the chain came off and locked. Called for assistance and they told us it was our responsibility to get the bike back or be charged $400 for the bike. We had to carry the bike back approximately 3 miles in 28 degree heat. Absolutely no refund. To Trevor Linden, this is not doing any favours to your brand.

Bikes in terrible condition and unfortunately ours were both stolen despite being locked. AFTERWARDS they told us that the area was very risky and we should’ve taken the bikes inside our hotel. I would not have hired the bike for 24 hours if that was the case. They had also only supplied one lock for 2 bikes (adult and child) and it was very difficult to lock them together in the first place. They are old bikes and worth nowhere near the $700 we were told would be needed to replace them!! What about insurance?There is a reason this place has so many 1 star reviews…
