I want to 100% recommend Life by Selena Photography as a wedding photographer. She is efficient, kind, funny, sweet, and also dependable and focused on getting the job done (I know the groomsmen were especially hellbent on having a good time rather than standing still for the camera, so it was especially impressive she was able to corral them). The first time we met she was able to show me her packages and had samples to look through. She is very professional and communicative throughout the process. We met a few times before the wedding and also had a shared pinterest board to collaborate on ideas. She completely understood my vision and went above and beyond my expectations, while also being a delight to be around through the day. You can see her enthusiasm for doing photography while she works. Plus she sent me a few of the best sample photos the next day, and the final deliver of the photos is beautiful, and thoughtfully packaged. She quickly became a friend afterward as well. So glad to have been able to work with her.

Selena recently did family photos with our toddler and baby. She was so respectful of our space and interacted so organically with our family! She’s easy to work with, has great suggestions and listens to what work with you!Our toddler loved how Selena interacted with her, it definitely made her feel happy and unafraid to be in front is the camera!Selena has also done a couples shoot for us before kids and made us feel SO comfortable! She got so many amazing shots of us in our neighbourhood and made us feel amazing even though it was -24!I highly recommend Selena for all your photo needs! I can’t wait for her to come visit in the summer for more family photos!!

I hired Selena as my wedding photographer and was nothing short of blown away with the services that were provided. She was open to tailoring her packages for my needs, travelling, and literally going the extra mile to give me the experience I was looking for.We purchased her mid-ranged photo package that includes an engagement photo session. Given that we were already engaged, but we were going on a bachelorette party hike of the Juan de Fuca Trail, she was happy to alter the package to include photographing the hike instead of the engagement. Selena was self sufficient and a delight to have hiking and camping with us.Selena also traveled across the country to be there for us on our special week. Although she is stationed out of Montreal, she flew to Victoria BC and stayed there to make things work the way that we wanted to.Between a 20km hike, 4000km of travel, and all of the various locations that we included in our special day, I think it's safe to say that Selena literally goes the extra mile....As the service itself goes, Selena was able to make everybody feel comfortable behind the lens, and has a beautiful way of blending into the moments to capture the perfect shot without making things stiff or artificial. The photos are immaculate-- enough said-- and the end result is AMAZING! I was mailed an adorable little box. Enclosed were small sample prints, a beautiful USB of all the photos, Photo hanging twine and clips, as well as a handwritten card. Last, she included a link to an online platform that had a gallery of all the photos, making sharing for family and friends extremely easy and streamlined. The platform is beautiful, simple to use, has functions that allow you to favorite, download, as well as buy prints.Truly, Life By Selena is fantastic.Selena, you truly captured my special day.

Selena photographed both our engagement photos in February 2020, and well as our wedding in July 2021. We could not have been happier with the job Selena did on both occasions. For a couple that is not used to having their photo taken, Selena brought us out of our shells and made us feel so incredibly comfortable - and this allowed her to capture us in a natural and genuinely happy way. Being that our wedding took place during the pandemic, our plans on wedding venue, size, etc. changed multiple times during the planning process. Selena was wonderful and accommodating at each of these steps. Most importantly, Selena set up a live-stream of our wedding ceremony for our guests that were no longer able to join us in person. We heard nothing but amazing feedback from our online guests about both the audio and visual quality of this live-stream. She also provided us with a video copy of the ceremony along with our wedding photos.
