LAUGH OUT LOUD COMEDY CLUB AT REGENT THEATRE
Great night! 3 cracking comics and a class act of a compare in Barry Dodds. Lovely venue and a really good crowd. Nice change from other clubs that are mainly stags and hens thinking they are funny and ruining the night for everyone else. That said, Dodds' razor sharp wit would soon make you think twice about heckling!!!! Totally recommended for a top night out!!

Small, intimate but quality event. 3 comics and a compere, great deal of variety across styles but all pretty funny. Reasonable money, and will definitely be going again.I like the Regent Theatre anyway, it's a nice venue in a convenient location, with good parking close by in a number of directions.

This was our first visit to the #LOL Comedy Club; we arrived early (we thought) to get seats further back. How wrong we were. They had 2nd row seats left. But this made the whole experience more personal and enjoyable because we got picked on by the comedians. The night was wonderfully funny, our faces hurt afterwards from laughing. The compere was very good and all acts were equally brilliant. We will definitely be returning.

No long queue to get in, lots of staff on the doors doing the COVID 19 checks. Not able to really social distance once in, so come prepared if you need too (hand gel and masks). There are hand gel stations dotted around if you need to use one. We really enjoyed the night out it was our first time out in a long while and enjoyed John Bishop live.

I have been to the one at Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent and it is always a great night. Always at least three quarters of the comedians are loved by everyone (rarely the same three quarters as tastes differ. Plenty of time given to get refreshments. But, once more, the comedy is absolutely great.

Great venue and great comedy.Been here for Comedy and for shows and the staff are always friendly and helpful. We booked once to see a particular act and they had to cancel and the organisers kindly gave a refund..Will definitely be coming back..Some people complain about the prices but generally this type of venue is always going to be more expensive than a back street pub..

LAUGH OUT LOUD COMEDY CLUB AT REGENT THEATRE
I have been to the comedy club at the Regent theater a number of times over the last couple of years and only now have decided to review it as it's had abit of slack on some of the reviews regarding seating, drink prices and the comedians.Firstly the seating plan. I have personally haven't had a problem with this. If I find there isn't much space I usually move the seat up a little or sit somewhere else. The seats arn't fixed in place and can be moved. I think if there were less people in the room and more space the atmosphere wouldn't be as good. It's also quote funny watching people have the micky taken out of them when they arrive late and sit at the front.Regarding the drinks... yes your local pub would be lower in price but then I'm sure the quality of entertainment would also be lower. If you can't afford to go out then stay at home.Lastly the comedians. Of course they arnt going to be the likes of Peter Kay or Lee Evans.9 times out of 10 The guys here are brilliant and the more you drink the better they get. I've seen 2 comedians from here go on and perform on Britans got Talent and both made the live finals... unfortunately they didn't win.. But then when does a comedian ever win Britains got talent?Overall I really think for £15 quid a ticket you are getting alot more for your money than if you were going to pay 80/90 quid for a big comedian in an arena where you have to watch them on a screen.

Great comedy night, some amazing acts, bar stupidly overpriced though and door staff need to be more friendly. Just asking 'do you have tickets' would be better served by 'are you collecting or do you have tickets'. You're supposed to be encouraging people to come into the theatre, not scaring them away!

I paid £50 for 2 tickets for new year's eve.Absolutely shocking!!!!I am sure that there were far to many chairs and people in the tiny piano bar than fire regulations allow. Red hot and the person next to me was nearly on my knee.People were queueing for the bar during the intervals with not enough bar staff . This making the show run over. I felt like I spent most of my time waiting for people to clamber their way back to their seats.Drinks , glasses and bottles were put under the chairs . Heard a few breakages again not safe!!!!!Get a bit of class and have a bigger space and tables like Nantwich.Comedians ok not great.
