Great people to deal with, professional and friendly.

I have been trying to contact some there Sunday Jan 15, 2023!!!My nephew Albert Wilson was killed this morning at the Company by some type of machinery??? No one has a clue what is going on or we can't reach anyone there either.........dispatch, customer services or operator is not answering.......my family is devastated and has to travel from Alberta to find out what is going on??? It's obvious some has to be there for the workers today..........but no one is picking up........this is so devastating to our family and unfortunately no one is reaching out to us at all......I have left messages.....called several times and no one is there to support anyone through this tragedy that has occured at your (Sparwood BC) location, where my nephew was killed........very upset with you guys right now as the empathy and compassion for the family is non-existent!!!

Worked here for a short time, and my time here was not pleasant in anyway.Whenever I inquired about the schedule so I would know what my shifts were the only response was. You have to guess your schedule because there is no official schedule".This job easily began taking over everything in my life leaving me constantly exhausted and burnt out.Training was hardly bare minimal

I recently hired on with them, so far it has been an excellent experience. The hiring process was slow but very in depth. So far hands down a great place to work at, great and very helpful co-workers who are more than willing to share their knowledge. The training you receive from the corporate modules and the hands on trainers is simply amazing. The two hands on driver trainers I have been dealing with, go above and beyond to share their knowledge. Every company has it's quirks/problems, but from what I have seen so far this Company has my full support and I can see myself there for a very long time!

Poor management , Terrible freight handling ethics and quality. Not to mentions managements complete lack of respect for hard-working employees. Very little security in place at sparwood terminal for the amount of high dollar freight that goes through. When something is missing or damaged they would rather accuse employees of theft , then blames themselves for their terrible failures as managers.

By far the worst company I have ever dealt with. Unprofessional, unorganized, and hard to deal with. They lack communication skills and common sense. Most of their drivers are excellent but management is absolutely terrible. Even not answering emails or calls for days and weeks at a time. Do not recommend using unless you enjoy headaches, delays and not even receiving your shipments.

On January 15th my nephew had a terrible accident, and everyone was trying to contact the office for information, when I got the call from my niece, she was absolutely devastated, so I did reach out via message, and the manager did respond, at that time as you could imagine we were all in shock and devastated, so in saying that I would like to revoke my previous message, and submit my sincerest apologies for that note.......since then I would like to thank everyone at Manitoulin for their kindness, support and for truly going above and beyond to support the family. Chris and the team were so kind hearted and truly do care about their employees. If ever a Company showed just how valued the employees are........it definitely is Manitoulin Transport (Sparwood). Thank you everyone for your incredible support to all of us and for what you did for Albert Wilson, you will never be forgotten.......your thoughtfulness, kindness, support and love for Albert really showed. Thank you is just not enough!!!!
