Barn Up the Hill

We had our wedding here a couple months ago and we truly could not have asked for a better venue. Everything was fantastic. The venue is beautiful and the Barn Up the Hill team are so dedicated and kind. We got the package that included set-up and takedown and it was so worth it - they had everything ready exactly as we had discussed in our walkthrough and coordinated the flow day-of so that we could just enjoy the day with no stress. I cannot say enough good things, it was exactly what we wanted; a truly magical day. We are so grateful to Pam, Arianna, and the whole Barn Up the Hill team!

My husband and myself recently had our wedding at Barn Up The Hill in June. We found ourselves planning our wedding in the midst of Covid-19 with the restrictions changing constantly. However, throughout it all Barn Up The Hill was an unwavering support and consistently worked along side us to ensure that our wedding would be special, memorable and smooth sailing no matter what! Which is exactly what our day was.Pam (owner of BUTH) was nothing but amazing. She is easy to talk to, very accommodating and it felt like she was as invested in making my wedding special as I was. The venue itself is stunning, well maintained and unique. The view is beautiful and I highly suggest having your ceremony outside if you get married at BUTH.I highly recommend Barn Up The Hill to any couple looking for family like hospitality and breath taking moments!!

What can I say but wow! This venue is fantastic and the owners are fantastic. We had one of the best days of our lives thanks to Pam and her team. We planned our own wedding and being able to gain insight into how the ceremony/wedding should run from our wedding day coordinator/Pam was invaluable. Barn up the hill has many of the items you need to put on a wedding, and are available to rent at reasonable prices. We loved having our ceremony and reception at one location and the venue itself is beautiful. We kept our decor very minimal as the venue and its character speaks for itself. Our only wish was that the day could have lasted even longer as we had so much fun. I highly highly recommend this venue for a wedding and honestly, you could probably even have a fantastic family reunion there (if that’s a rental option). I love photographing weddings at the Barn up the Hill! Pam is incredible to work with; she is so kind and helpful. The venue offers so many different spots, as well as a lake view lookout. The outdoor dance floor is so fun, highly recommend this venue!

As an Event Coordinator I have been privileged to be a participant at the Barn Up The Hill venue and assist with several wedding ceremonies this past crazy COVID season. The venue is breathtaking, a wonderful place for a celebration of any sort...well organized, a beautiful property and thoughtful venue managers. The owners are amazing to work with: professional, communicate well and so helpful. They put a lot of care into their clients vision to help create a great experience and go above and beyond . This wedding season I saw them rise to the challenge to maintain a high standard for safety during the challenging COVID requirements. I greatly appreciated the ongoing communication regarding expectations and policy changes to ensure clients were equipped and informed. I would highly recommend Barn Up The Hill for any event.

I highly recommend Barn Up the Hill! We'd originally planned a 2021 wedding but due to restrictions we ended up moving it forward a few years. Due to unforeseen circumstances entirely unrelated to BUTH, we ended up cancelling the venue. However, I wanted to leave this review because Pam has been absolutely incredible throughout it all and a pleasure to work with. The venue is absolutely beautiful and anyone who has a wedding here is sure to have a wonderful experience!

Barn Up the Hill is beyond what I could have dreamed as our perfect wedding venue.Pam was amazing to work with as day of coordinator- she helped us dream up our ideal day and the flow of things, contacted our vendors to make sure the timeline ran smoothly, was available for meetings/phone calls whenever we had questions, and suggested incredible new options as we were reimagining our guest list from 90 people to 50 due to COVID. Pam was calm, kind, and a life-saver when navigating such an important day in our lives during an incredibly uncertain time.As the bride and groom, we totally trusted Pam to take charge of the day behind the scenes and make decisions - such as turning our “sunset toast” up on the hill into a “twilight toast” under the barn lights when there wasn’t a sunset that evening! She had the idea ready to go and just quickly checked in with us - it was amazing to feel so at ease and taken care of. Pam had back-up plans for our back-up plans!The venue itself is intimate and cozy. It feels like you are tucked away in your own little world for the day. Our guests raved about the relaxed nature of the day as the ceremony and reception were all in one location - they didn’t have to worry about moving pieces or timing.Barn Up the Hill’s extensive rental list has everything you could possibly need - it eliminated hours of market place hunting, DIYing, and saved us time and money.We had an incredible experience and would recommend this gem of a venue to anyone and everyone (and already have!!)

This is such a beautiful venue! I’ve been here for two events (one was a wedding) and it is such a special place that has been carefully designed. There’s a flat field at the top of the hill which overlooks the okanagan commonly used for the wedding ceremony which is stunning! The hosts are very organized with everything you could need, friendly, and easy to communicate with. There’s lots of nice twinkle lights and plants around the property. I definitely would recommend the barn up the hill to any brides looking for a wedding venue or group looking for a venue for their next event!

I do a lot of weddings as a pastor in the Okanagan and I was impressed by this beautiful venue. The team was so easy to work with. They communicated very clearly and professionally via email, helping make my job that much easier. I enjoyed watching them take so much care to ensure that the vision of the bride and groom happened just as they wanted it to happen. Not every venue attends so carefully to the couples' wedding dream, but Pam and her team did just that. It was a pleasure to do the wedding in their one-of-a-kind atmosphere and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to have a unique wedding experience in the Vernon area. We were guests at a wedding at Barn Up the Hill. What a magical experience it is there! They had gone out of their way to make the wedding a cherished memory for the bride, groom, and all their guests. No detail was missed. Pam is such a delightful host and I would recommend this venue to any bride and groom seeking a magical outdoor wedding venue.
