Kimbol Lake Trail
BRUTAL HIKE!!! We are avid hikers and this is definitely the least enjoyable hike we have gone on. The trail was poorly marked. Bush wacked for part of the trail. No switch backs and steep inclines. The worst part that after the extreme effort, the lake at the top was nothing to look at. You had to duck thru trees and bushes to take a glimpse. The best part of the hike was at the entrance of the trail. The wooden bridge that over looks the water. I would definitely not recommend this trail. Pretty sure there are better ones in the area.

Kimbol Lake Trail
So We hiked this yesterday and I will agree with other reviewers that this hike is very hard and really not worth it in the end. However for us the trail was now well marked and if you continue after coming to the stop near the lake you can get to the water which is filled with many visible small trout(may have been stocked). There is another trail to this lake starting near horseshoe lake that is unmarked on any map I have seen but is much easier (although it does climb at the start) and ends at a cabin on the south edge of the lake if you really want to see it

Kimbol Lake Trail
This spot marks the trailhead, it's from the parking lot of the hot springs resort. The hike itself is difficult, mostly uphill, but wonderful. Bring water!
