Strathcona County Fire Station 1

This fire hall was designed by a famous architect in the mid 70’s and was groundbreaking and edgy at the time and is still relevant today. I remember living in Sherwood Park at the time it was being built and it was cool.Facts about Station #1Opened October 23, 1975.Station #1 used to be the headquarters station for Strathcona County Emergency Services. On January 20, 2014, all Chief Officers, administrative support, Occupational Health, Safety and Training, Emergency Management and Fire Prevention and Investigation moved to Fire Station 6 .Emergency Communications, Materials Management and Operations are located at Station #1.The station is closed to the public.The Strathcona Fallen Fire Fighters' Memorial is located here.

A big thank you to Captain Mike who helped my mother and my almost 10 year old jack russel named Tucker, they both were some what lost and well the fire department came to the rescue, nobody was injured.
