Dovercourt Recreation Centre

I'd recommended this place for little ones more than for teens. They have more activities and programs.

Wonderful family recreation centre truly the heart of the neighbourhood with something for everyone.

If you enjoy teenagers yelling at your children with no respect for whether their interactions are appropriate for the age of the child they're interacting with, this is the place for you! Nice enough playground and facilities if you are not forced to interact with the teenage staff who only seem to care about chatting until their shift is over and they are no longer obligated to interact with you.

The worst recreation center I’ve ever seen in my life, managed by unprofessional and disrespectful staff (teenagers), pay attention to your kids, it’s not reassuring at all.

I love Dovercourt! They have the best camps. So happy that they are opening up again, and sad that my daughter missed out during the pandemic.Very professional staff, amazing programming and great location. Their outdoor adventure camps were amazing and introduced my daughter to a passion for the water, Paddleboarding and being outdoors.

My daughter is doing swimming lessons here. Great facility

My son went here for swimming lessons. The lessons itself were great however the system is not. My son was in a 2/3 class. I had asked the instructor what level to register next and she couldn't tell me. I registered him for level 3 assuming he would pass the level 2 by the appropriate registration date so I could get a spot as spots fill up. He did not pass and all level 2 was ofcourse already filled and there was no room for him in the class he needed to be in. No one offered me a solution such as putting him next in line incase someone dropped out of a level 2 class. I am extremely frustrated and dissapointed with the experience here with the staff that work here who did nothing to help me even though this was not at all my fault and my son is missing out on swimming lessons.

My daughter’s first swimming lessons were here. While I don’t have anything to compare it to, I’ve heard stories of other pools and it sounds like a crazy mess! The swimming lessons are staggered which allows for only half the people to change out at a time. I thought it worked like a well oiled machine. Emily was great with my little one. The only thing is I wish they had a few minutes at the end of a session for feedback for the parents. It was done, and that was that. We look forward to the next round though!

My son loves how warm they keep the pool! They cater so well to babies and kids.

Theres a nice mini ramp, tennis Court, playground and pool here. The staff have always been friendly to me for the 10+ years that I've been coming here.
