Bragg's Wild Bird Seed

What a beautiful spot! We lived the stroll through the sunflowers, but the highlight was meeting the wonderful people who work there! And the chicken were hilarious. We'll definitely go back- for the pick your own potatoes!

I used to get bird seed here. The birds seemed to enjoy it, considering it went quickly. The last time I was there, however, the prices had gone up considerably. I was told it was due to inflation, but at the time inflation was coming down, so an odd time to raise prices. Some places are immune to inflation, such as local farms where everything is grown on the spot (along with sunflower seeds). The cost to beef farmers has not risen much since several years before Covid. It is the in-between parties and the grocery stores that are raising prices faster than wages are rising! I have since begun buying my birdseed at Canadian Tire. For some reason, their prices for seed have not really risen, yet they ship from other suppliers. Why is that?

A beautiful farm to visit, especially for kids. We visited toward the end of sunflower season. The sunflowers were about to seed, and the farmers communicated this on Instagram and offered discounted rates so we knew what to expect. We were still able to get good pictures! This farm also has free run hens and allows children to feed them at no cost. I purchased some delicious fresh eggs! This farm partners with a local bakery and we purchased some delicious homemade cookies on site, at an affordable price. One of the farmers was on hand to teach us about the hens, the produce grown (berries and potatoes), and the history of the farm. We look forward to returning to dig up some spuds in September!

My go to place for bird seeds. I not even mind de 55 minute drive! Great mixtures for all kinds of birds. And while you are there, get the aronia jam! It is amazing!

I just happen to be driving past this place and decided to stop in. The staff are very friendly and the sunflowers are beautiful. The paths are very flat so you can bring a stroller and various paths you can take to avoid coming in close contact with others. My family will definitely be coming back again next year.

A beautiful place with wonderful people! My husband and I attended the sunflower fields for pictures. When we returned to the car we noticed our tire was completely flat. The owners did not hesitate to bring our car to their shop and change out the tire for us, asking nothing in return. We will be back! Thank you so much!

Visited Braggs feed store in Bowmanville today for the first time. It's a rustic spot for livestock, wild bird feeds and country store merchandise. It's a little tricky to locate the retail store as it is set back on the property, but signage helped out. We were cheerfully greeted at the door. Our questions were answered knowledgeably and professionally. We settled on a special bird seed mix for our needs. The prices are reasonable considering the market. Our overall experience was pleasant. I would recommend Braggs to the avid birder, livestock caretaker and those looking for a rural feed store experience.

This our regular spot for buying birdseed for our backyard feeders. Excellent selection of feed and accessories. Staff is always friendly and knowledgeable.
