I would highly recommend Chelsea from Black Dog Bakery. Not only are her cakes absolutely beautiful but they taste amazing too. Chelsea did our wedding cake as well as our first anniversary cake and we couldn’t be happier!

We ordered a wedding cake from Chelsea at Black Dog Bakery, and our experience was absolutely incredible! We’d recommend BDB to anyone! We got married in Oct 2022, and 13 weeks before our wedding, our venue told us they were no longer making wedding cakes. Despite the fact that the BDB website advised us to order well in advance, Chelsea was able to accommodate us. We booked an ice-breaker and got to taste four cakes, chose our favourite (earl grey!) and discussed a design approach with Chelsea. She was able to study our precedent photos and make informed recommendations. Ultimately, the cake she designed us was absolutely perfect, it was exactly the design approach we had discussed, and multiple guests told us it was the best cake they’d ever tasted. Chelsea also gave us great advice on how to decorate our cake (dried florals vs fresh), and immediately started coordinating with our florist as soon as we booked, so we didn’t have to worry about anything. We had an absolutely fantastic experience with Chelsea / Black Dog Bakery!

Chelsea was incredible!!!!! Not only did she make a custom flavour for our sample and deliver it twice so my partner could try she also just nailed it. Everyone raved about the cake and it couldn’t have been more fresh and beautiful! I highly recommend Chelsea and her team they did such a good job!!!!!!!

She walked me through the whole process via email and a phone consult, and provided a couple of different quotes quickly. I would highly recommend Chelsea and her team for any of your baked goods needs! We ordered cupcakes for our wedding and were so happy we chose Black Dog Bakery. We went through the consultation process and got to taste test 4 flavours of our choosing, all of which were so delicious. In the end we chose 3 flavours. Chelsea's team also sourced some gluten-free cupcakes and delivered them along with the other cupcakes on the day of the event.We recommend the lemon-blueberry flavour and salted caramel cupcakes!

I have had the pleasure of working along side Chelsea many times; on styled inspiration photo shoots and real events + weddings. She is a talent with design and her cakes and treats are so tasty.
