Kyle is an incredible trainer who has a remarkable understanding of dog behavior. I first met Kyle when he came to assess and train our foster dog Angel. Angel is fear reactive towards new people especially in our home, but within the first hour of meeting Kyle she was walking calmly on leash and looking to him for guidance and direction. Since that initial training session Angel has boarded many times with Kyle and Madison and I feel so lucky to have a boarding option locally that not only understands her behavior, but also build her confidence. Kyle and Madison’s home is the only environment besides our own in which I have seen Angel truly relax and be herself. When she is there I know she is safe and happy, something I can't thank them enough for. Owning a reactive dog can be very stressful but knowing we have their assistance when it comes to training and boarding has made things significantly easier. For the sake of dog owners everywhere I wish there were more trainers in Ontario who had the experience and skill set that Kyle does.

We can not recommend Kyle enough. We live in Ottawa and have a 2 year old working lines German Shepherd named Buuki. We recently drove the 6 hours to Owen Sound to visit NorthGrey K9 for a week-long training “bootcamp” with Kyle that involved daily hour-long lessons. We did this because we really needed professional help training Buuki (e.g., low engagement with us, difficulty being at ease, poor training foundations).We are so grateful to him for teaching us how to have a better, stronger relationship with our dog through the engagement-based methods he taught us. We are now using these methods and for the first time we are seeing solid, repeatable results – Buuki is more responsive to us, less anxious/reactive, and is able to relax between sessions (something he could never do before). The way he looks at us as we play and work together is amazing.Before finding out about Kyle’s practice, we had tried to work with 4 other trainers in the Ottawa area. In short, none of them were able to help (some wanted to prong+e-collar Buuki into submission; others suggested prolonged tether sessions that only frustrated him; others had no pedagogical plan, merely promising to build a bond). Kyle is a stark contrast to these experiences – he is a professional trainer with years of experience working with reactive dogs; he was mentored by world class experts; his training protocol is based on scientific evidence, as evidenced by our conversations and the resources he has been kind enough to share with us. He takes the time to teach and give thoughtful feedback. We are so lucky to have found him.Thank you Kyle!

I am so happy I brought Maggie Mae into his she came out a different person now she's very tired I would like to send me more information how much the program is I can get my worker to help me get the funding for schooling for or beans I'm looking forward to hearing from you thank you for the nice visit appointment

Easily the BEST facility for any dog needs!We started taking both of our large breed dogs to North Grey K9 for training last year after they had a fight in the home.We have been working on routine, connection, obedience and training with the dogs and they have both come so far. When we first brought our pups we were fearful, anxious and felt lost. With Kyles dedicated work and advanced dog training knowledge peace has been restored in our home. We still have a ways to go with our training but feel confident in ourselves and our dogs to progress.We have since used North Grey K9 for boarding. We have an anxious/ high needs dog who is slow to warm up and nervous around people, we struggled to travel anywhere previously as finding him somewhere to stay was challenging. We can confidently bring him for boarding knowing he will be loved and cared for. Our anxious guy is OBSESSED with all the staff members and loves to come for overnight stays.Grooming here is also A+, Sarah is meticulous and the dogs adore her. Their and their coats stay looking clean for weeks after a grooming!I cannot recommend all these services enough, we have been working with them for about a year and only have positive things to say.

So happy to have met the folks over at North Grey K9. They've helped me find a food my dog will actually eat which is a miracle in itself! Currently taking advantage of their boarding service which is reasonably priced and has some great add one available (extra walks/slatmill sessions/grooming), and in the new year we will be utilizing their Board and Train program to help finish some behavioral issue corrections.I also find it amazing that they take dogs with aggression and behaviour issues, I haven't seen a boarding service willing to take on these poor pups who need more.

Such a fantastic trainer. North Grey K9 is leadership based, balanced training. No matter what your issue is, you will learn something doing a training session with them. North Grey K9 is partnered with our charity and is always giving back to the community. Kyle has a great love of animals and does amazing work with dogs of all kinds. I highly recommend him for anything from puppy training to mid serious behaviour issues.
