You come here not because you want a fancy brunch spot with the glitzy decor and instagram worthy pics. This place is about the atmosphere, service, good food and the home feel you get as a breakfast/brunch spot. Local + family owned - we are always welcomed with friendly staff. It can get busy in the morning but the wait is never too long. The pancakes have a crispy edge to it and resemble that of Mickey mouse - overall good pancakes that captures a good mix texture of crisp and fluffy. The sourdough option for bread is a must here. It stands very unique to any other breads tried in diners. Food is not greasy nor oily. The menu goes from $9-16 and food is worth/reflective of that amount charged. Some patio seating as well as indoor. Would recommend getting the clubhouse!

A great little spot to eat breakfast comfortably. Great, attentive service. We sat out in the patio and the street wasn’t noisy at all, didn’t want to leave because of how comfortable the environment was. I’m lactose intolerant and they offered oat milk for my coffee which was amazing! Would definitely recommend. The food was great!

A place like home- unpretentious tasty food & a very welcoming homy atmosphere. Food are reasonably priced and there is a decent variety to it. I always like when a restaurant have servers that doesn't interrupt customers often & this place had that. Definitely recommend

I really enjoyed the atmosphere, service, and food here. Classic traditional western brunch food, cooked very well and I would definitely recommend.Although it would’ve been nice if they had a dish with chicken instead of everything being ham, bacon or sausage. The food was cooked very well though.There was a bit of a draft in the restaurant and I had to keep my jacket on the whole time. Overall, would visit again.

Absolutely love this place! Only been twice so far, but both times the food has been high quality, delicious, and had hearty servings! Huge fan of the Breakfast Poutine, I couldn't get it out of my head for about a month, hence the 2nd visit!Love the little patio outside, it's cozy without being cramped. Staff are lovely, and I was impressed that they were letting everyone know BEFORE putting in their order that the kitchen was a bit backed up, so it would be a bit of a wait, therefore giving them the option to leave if they wanted food quickly. Too many places don't do this.I was sad to learn that this place has been around since 2007 and I only just learned about it! Will definitely be making regular visits here.

A lovely little spot with delicious, classic breakfast options and amazing staff. A family owned business that knows what it takes to keep people coming back. They have a nice little patio as well for those nice days! We have the classic breakfast, hubby had sausage and I had the bacon. Each equally delicious. Coffee is good and they were kind enough to brew some decaf for me. Support our local business owners and give this gem a try!

Hadn't been here in a while so I stopped in, and as I tend to do in every breakfast or brunch place I visit, I tried their Eggs Benedict. The yolks were suitably runny and a dark orange--a good sign. Their Hollandaise sauce is pretty standard. The English muffin halves were on the firm side, and the hash browns were cut a bit larger than I'm used to, but overall execution of the dish was competent. Service was prompt and efficient.

We had never been to John’s before. I stopped in for a late breakfast w a colleague. Small place with very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Nothing fancy. But great home cooked food. We will definitely be back!

I love supporting family owned businesses, and this one is a must visit! Cute little location, the food is great quality for really reasonable prices, and the service is friendly and fast.Will definitely be back!
