AYCE SKEWERS + Hot Pot with 1980s China Theme Restaurant-awesome-fair pricing-dont be intimidated by all the Chinese words they have English inside staff , one of the staff was fine at explaining everythingDetailed review for people who wants to read itGuys I want to introduce you guys this really cool restaurant. It's all you can eat, they have a fridge where you grab all the skewers as much as you want. They have a sheet where you can order some typical hot pot items like sliced beef or sliced lamb, shrimp. If you want you can pay extra to order some special items like spicy clam, or spicy beef tongue.I implore you guys to explore the beautiful murals of 1970s/1980s china, it resembles how life was before china became modern. How it worksYou pay per person and for the soup base! For the Chinatown location its$27.99 for adults + $2 for Fri, Weekend and Holiday. The soup base ranges from $10.99 - $18.99 per table. The half and half (Half classic spicy and Mushroom/Tomato) is only $12.99 ! I got that one so I can enjoy a spicy base and mild base at the same time. For the spicy soup base you can choose the different level of spice and trust me when you go to the higher end it does get spicy! That's okay you can try their delicious watermelon pitcher to cool you off.TIP - the deep fried bun is pretty good with the condensed milk

I found the vegetables were dry and they didn't look fresh. I don't know if it's common thing for chinese style hotpot.. everything was good after I put them into the pot!The arts on the wall were really beautiful and made me feel like being in China (Ive never beee there though).

Not fresh, have to pay extra for hot pot soup, totally around $50 including tips per person. Way not better than liuyishou. It's not worth the price. I don't know why they even didn't provide a sturdy plate, just plastic plate for one time use. I am not picky, just because this plastic plate is not good for hot food. Can't imagine how mean they are, randomly saw a restaurant like them. Good to know that!

As someone from Sichuan, this is as authentic as you can get outside of the province. 5 stars hands down.

They have a good selection of the skewers for hotpot, assorted meats, fish cake and seafood balls and veggies as well. Make your own sauce. Broth is charged extra - spicy with different levels and non-spicy options. It was a good experience, definitely was full after. Will come back.

Traditional Chinese skewers hot pot concept restaurant with affordable prices and fresh meat. I loved the variety of toppings for your dipping sauce. The interior is interesting to say the least but a good vibe nonetheless. Would def recommend if you're in Chinatown! Some staff do speak English and but menus are also provided in English, ordering is just like AYCE.

Super fun and pretty authentic experience, as if you were getting hot pot from the roadside back home. Skewer buffet style with additional items you can order from the menu. We ordered the Mala spicy broth and tomato broth, both worked very well with the hot pot skewers. Sliced beef had the right amount of fat to keep it juicy and meaty without tiring from the usual overly fatty pieces some restaurants provide. The golden fried buns with condensed milk stayed soft even after sitting at our table for 20 minutes. Sauce station had all the essentials for you to create a dipping sauce (I personally like garlic, cilantro, sesame paste, chive paste and soy sauce). The staff were friendly, attentive and explain how the experience works for new customers.Removed one star mainly for the lack of ventilation in the space.
