I am extremely happy with the Zipper and Buttons Tailors. The craftsmanship is excellent and the price is more than fair. They take jobs regardless big or small. What I like the most is their honesty. On one of my jacket, the lady could have replace the whole zipper and charge me more, I would be none the wiser, but she found the missing slider in the lining of the jacket and installed it for me. Not only it preserved original looking but also save me money. I recommend this business to anyone.

I've had two items of clothing altered on two separate occasions and both have ended up fantastic. Mei is a pleasure to deal with.

I can make an emphatic recommendation for this amazing small business. My wife had her dress altered there and, as well, the proprietor custom-made 3-pc wool suits and perfectly made custom shirts for myself and my groomsmen for an incredible price. My wife was thrilled with the service and quality of work performed on her dress. Since then we have brought her many difficult alterations and repairs, to which she always completes with excellent results, for a great value.

I've been a customer since 2019 and have always been happy! From black-tie events, to bridesmaid and flower girl dresses, to toddler suits, to repairs, to simple hems and dry-cleaning I've never had any issues! Adding custom embellishments and doing major gown changes were no obstacle! I'm always happy to go in - the proprietor is lovely.

She tailor 3 items for me:1) wedding dress2) traditional Asian dress3) reception dress1) the wedding dress she complained that there was too many layers and when I asked her to shorten it it was crooked. One side was longer then the other side…. I asked for her to be due by a certain day (with 2 months Notice) so I could show my bridesmaids that came out of town on how to bustle my dress. Two weeks before the certain date, I check up on her and she did not have it done. She complained to me that my wedding day was not until two months and asked me why I was rushing her…. But that what we agreed upon TWO MONTH BEFORE HAND…. Her English is not good and tends to misunderstand you if you do not speak Cantonese….2) the traditional dress turn out find as she was just making it a snugger fit3) the reception dress turned out fine but she didn’t listen to my request to change it from lace ties to zipper instead. And told me it would look better this way…Now I need to find another tailor to fix MY WEDDING DRESSES!Not impressed and terrible service. Every time I talk to her, she was upset with me.

DO NOT GO HERE.....we were given a recommendation from a friend who got their suits made for their wedding. We wanted our boys to have vests and bowties made. Picked the colors, got the kids measured. Then 4wks later I get a call saying the color we picked for our vest isnt available. I didnt like any other shades of grey they had so I offered to buy the material myself and drop it off. Then she tells me she isnt making the vests but her company in China and that there isnt enough time to ship out different material to China. If I would have known that or she was too busy to take on my order then she should have told me. Then we get the call that they are ready to come try on. The vests are not the style we decided on, my oldests sons doesnt even fit in length and hasnt grown that much in 2mths and there is chalking marks all over the vests front and back when they were seeing them. We were told we can easily get them dry cleaned. This is less then 2wks before my wedding which is out of province. Maybe this company is great for simple alteration jobs but oh my goodness am I disgusted with the lack of honestly and professionalism. I picked a small local company to support local, not for it to be sent to China and look like my 10yr did it.

Outstanding quality of work. Needed a fast fix on a winter parka (-25C cold spell). Called ahead for the required appointment and had my jacket back to me in 2 hours looking like new. Will definitely be back for any tailoring needs.

I had a very expensive icebreaker jacket and arc'teryx vest, both with blown zippers. Mei affordably replaced both, I dropped them Monday and had them back by Thursday good as new, with brand new zippers on both. The workmanship is excellent, if I didn't know they'd been replaced I'd never have guessed! Highly recommend!

Heard about this place through its reputation and reviews. Took a lunch kit in that had a broken zipper, talked to the very nice lady there and dropped it off. Arrange for pickup Monday, and when I went to pick it up the quality and workmanship was beyond expectation. It all looks like original stitching, it looks solid, feel solid, and works without a hitch. Will definitely go here in the future for more alterations or fixings.
