Ended up back here for a birthday after it being a few years- We ended up being one of the first tables of their night since they open at 5pm. I saw some of the guys walking in with what it looked like grocery bags which can be nice to see. All the food tasted clean and fresh; although quite expensive total.Fish tacos were great, slightly heavy on the batter but they were fried perfectly, not too greasy; I did want a bit more acidity with it though... maybe a wedge of lime?Had a bite of the Quesadilla; flavour actually was above my expectation! Came with some real chipotle sauce and sour cream.The drinks are what made our bill quite high (almost $120.00 with added 18% gratuity charge) although I enjoyed my Sangria Blanco (slightly too sweet) + Rum Punch (strong!!).

Me and a friend went out randomly to this spot. It was aesthetically pleasing. The chips served with the avocado dip were stale. Unsure if it's because we got there closer to the end of the day.Had the chicken and pork tacos. Not a fan of the chicken as it was a bit salty. The pork tacos were tasty!

We had a great time and so did our dog. The food was great and server Kat was amazing. She took care of us and our dog that was in their way the entire time but not once did they fuss about it. One rude customer was trying to be mean to my dog and the other customers jumped in to defend my dog and our server kept apologizing to us which was not her fault at all but she was very sweet. Definitely coming back

I tried the restaurant for the first time ever and I have to say my experience was not the best. It was not good at all. I bought my family first time ever to try a Mexican restaurant and it was awful. The food came very very late and it was just an order of nachos and a quesadilla and it took more than 30 minutes to come. We ordered nachos which were supposed to come in 5 minutes but took 10 minutes and we had to cancel it because it was too late. The service was not best either because servers were not helpful either. Not really good experience. Would not recommend until the servers are trained properly or food starts coming on time.

Cute and aesthetic taco place in Port Credit area with a heated patio that is open during the colder season. The tacos itself were mid-tier, had decent seasoning and flavour but smaller in portions than expected. The taquitos were crispy and were delicious. Great and friendly service!

First time and likely wouldn't return. Cocktails were mediocre (stick with beer). The yuca fritas were alright. The tacos, overall, were drenched in oil, no matter which of the 5 options. Literally oil spewing from the taco toppings, as well as greasy taco shells so it's not pleasant (and slippery) trying to eat them. Aesthetically they look sloppy also.Their patio is heated and dog friendly (please advocate for your dog - 3 dogs we saw while there tonight weren't comfortable, and didn't settle the entire time, poor doggos).

El Jefe is a cute little aesthetically pleasing restaurant. The chicken quesadilla was outstanding (if you don’t mind some chicken cartilage, there were a few bites of that) but I think the carnitas taco meat could have been a little more tender. Overall, good food.

Nothing really great except the patio decor and vibe. The food was ok, not that great. We took quite a while to get our food and had to hail the serving staff continuously to remind them of our order. Had the chips and guac, nachos, quesadilla and a few cocktails (which weren't great at all). A lot of the staff there are clueless about what's happening and rely on other staff to get answers.Not bad if you want to have a good patio hangout for the location but that's it.

Dinning here was such a nice experience.Amazing atmosphere. Great food and drinks. Clean place. Friendly staff. My wife and I really enjoyed eating here. We’re definitely going to come back here.
