(Shared from Ross D.)BRAVO to the Doll Club of Edmonton!It is a true honour to share our experience with the Doll Club of Edmonton! Our family’s experience began back in late 2019 when my mother decided to sell her large and extensive doll collection. Mom inherited the collection several years ago and was overwhelmed at the complexity of properly moving such a large number of pieces. Ourfamily had very little knowledge of the value of the collection and were searching for professional and trustworthy guidance. We reached out to the Doll Club of Edmonton following an internet search. The Doll Club of Edmonton team responded to our query and immediately began our year-long association with these wonderful, passionate and highly-experienced professionals!Through their Club executive and subject matter experts, we received amazing advice. We had the delight of meeting with Kathie, Valerie and Vicki – who traveled to my parent’s house and spent the better part of a day meticulously inspecting and inventorying more than 20 large boxes of dolls and accessories! We discussed many potential options (auction, doll sales-shows, monthly meetings of the Club, finding a broker/consigner, etc).Suddenly… the COVID-19 Pandemic hit with a vengeance and my family feared that all momentum and planning would cease. This was not the case at all! Due to the amazing agility and creativeness of the Doll Club of Edmonton – the Club took leadership in giving doll enthusiasts across Alberta access to Mom’s collection. The Doll Club of Edmonton team took the lead in the background research, advertisement and sale ofMom’s collection through social media and websites. Strictly adhering to the COVID protocols, the Doll Club of Edmonton moved almost the entire collection over several months!Our family is still in awe of the innovative and professional approach this mighty group of volunteers demonstrated – proof that a small number of devoted people can indeed move mountains! Words cannot adequately express our gratitude to the Doll Club of Edmonton.
